Opinions

Have you found that ever since you got engaged that everyone has an opinion on weddings and feels the need to share? I dont mind listening, but seems as if every single person that has had a wedding tells me not to waste my money and elope...or go with the cheapest place etc. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. My landscaper just told me to save the money and elope.

I can't even tell you how many times people have told me that. To be honest I almost find it slightly offensive when they know you are planning a wedding and then tell you that you should just elope cause it's a waste of money. I just think people should keep that to themselves. Don't rain on our parade!

yuppppp...and i find you'll hear something from someone...and then the complete opposite from someone else...

'go with low centerpieces to save money'...then someone else 'you have to have high centerpieces or nobody sees them'

'go with a DJ, its more fun'...then 'go with a band, its classier'

'don't buy an expensive dress for just one day!'...'make sure you buy the dress of your dreams!'

...enough to make your head spin!!! so do what makes you happy!!!!

I'm sure in the end I will wonder why I spent all this money...but I think you have to go through it...and come to your own conclusion. I'm sure every single girl that has told me not to waste the money...could have never been convinced not to when they were planning

everyone has to put their 2 sense where it doesn't belong. it is so fustrated. i am on a strict don't ask me about my wedding policy. if i have something to say i say it..

this happens occassionally and it seems like it's always from someone who isn't even invited to the wedding. whatever the case may be, I have no problem putting people in there place and letting them know what they can do with their money and what I can do with mine.

Fh's old miserable work friends always say to save his money and stay single. They are so dumb... Alot of what FH has is because of me.

People are always sayinf oh 'do this and that' But i'll do what I feel like!

This is happening to me left and right. A bunch of people at work did this. One example was this lady with gave me a florist's business card who's in Brooklyn. And I don't wanna use someone in Brooklyn! I live in Suffolk County for god's sake!

I know exactly what you mean. Some of FH's family thinks he'd be better off single and w/o me...meanwhile I have helped totally turn around his life...and am the best parent his kids have.
