I am planning on doing boxed cupcakes for favors but FH also wanted to do something with our names on it and he collects shot glasses so I thought it might be cute to also do shot glasses as well. BUUUTTTT, then I wondered if it was tacky to have shot glasses as wedding favors.
What do you guys think? Honest opinions please?

I will be honest, I am not sure how thrilled I would be to receive a shot glass at a wedding. But the fact that it ties into something special your fh is into, does make it better.

yea i think i'm in the same camp, i don't think i'll be thrilled to get a shot glass, but the cupcake idea LOVE IT!

It's hard because the shot glasses mean something to your FH, but I really wouldn't want them as a favor and I don't know if shot glasses are wedding-ish. They're great for birthdays, etc., but I don't know how the older people would feel about getting them.
I love the cupcakes though!!

Here are some shot glasses that a LIW Bride (Kslmbuggie) used for her wedding
The company even uploaded her monogram onto the glasses
Can you fit the shotglasses into some other celebration? That's what I did with my FH. He WANTED koozies as wedding favors so bad...instead he got them and Mr. Met for his Birthday party.
There's a way for all to be happy.

I think it's awesome! My brother got married two years ago and had a destination wedding, as the favor they did shot glasses that said 'I went to Mike and Karin's wedding and all I got was this lousy shot glass!' I love it. Of all the wedding's I've gone to its the only favor that I have actually used or even still have, lol!!!

i think its a great idea! if u put hershey kisses in the shot glass and wrap it in tulle... u could even put a little tag on it, like : A SHOT FULL OF LOVE, A COUPLE OF KISSES, (your name) and (his name) ARE MR. AND MISSES!!! Go for it =)
