Hi ladies! I went to visit the Community Church of East Williston over the weekend and think its beautiful. The Pastor is such a nice guy too!! Here are the wedding fees: Sanctuary: $600 Minister: $300 Organist: $200 Sexton: $125 White Linen Aisle Runner: $30 Late Fee: $300 (returnable after the wedding)
Are these fees the norm? Thanks for your opinions!!

Well that looks cheaper then my church. That i first when to. It was all most 900 and over for everything plus U had to still pay for the priest and that was 600 or more.

I am paying $500 for a Catholic Church and $125 for Pre-Cana. Usually, the limo provides the aisle runner for free.

My church is $500 including Deacon, organ and singer...Pre Cana was $50

Wow! That looks expensive to me! Unless there are hidden fees, we were told it's $300. No other fees were mentioned to us. I know the runner is supposed to be provided by the limo. Oh, and if you have the organist and/or someone singing, they charge for that. Pre-cana fees weren't mentined to us, but that would make sense. One church was $400, but we went with the $300 church.

I am paying 500 bucks total for St. Aidans, just a few blocks away. BUT, the Community Church of East Williston is so so so so so adorable!! Those fees are a bit high though.

Those fees do sound high! We're paying $300 for the church $150 for pre-cana......................... don't know about singers or the organist yet and the runner is included in limos...

I am getting married in my parish so I have no problems
But for someone who is not a member of the parish needs to speak to the parish staff about getting married at the church

wow that sounds expensive!
My church is $425 total. $300 for the church 'donation' haha $125 for the organist.
I am getting married in a Catholic Church in Queens (my parish).
ets: forgot to add, pre-cana is $125.

My friend lives in the city and was told by one church that they ask for a 'donation' of 10% of the total wedding cost. That would be approx. $3000. Ridiculous!!! I mean I understand covering the cost of having to keep the place lighted up for the ceremony and have the organist/soloist come in etc, but I don't think it would come to $3000.
My church in Baldwin asks for $400 I think, but I can't recall if that includes the organist and soloist. And the officiant's fee is additional ($100).

our ceremony 'fee' is $300 organist is $150 pre-cana $40 per couple

with my first engagement we were looking into garden city community, and it was about $1000 for non parishiners (sp?) Ridiculous!!

Wow Nav that sounds really hight. My church offering is $375 including singer and organist. They actually just went up to $575 but I called the Deacon and made a big deal about it so he said I would only have to give $375.

I just gave my church the $400 'donation' they requested which covered the church, pastor, organist and singer. So needless to say, I think those fees are crazy!
