I wouldn't have a problem with my mom wearing that. Has she tried it on? She may not even like it on her

i would have to see the dress on your mom. It kind of looks like a younger person's dress but i'm sure i'm saying that b/c of the model. It may look nice on your mom as well! add pic!

If they're not wearing something similar i say let her. BTW in person that dress looks great, i tried it on, i dont like pick-ups but thats the only pick up dress i like but the pick ups are a little different

i think it totally depends on your mom. it's a gorgeous and very tasteful dress, appropriate for any age in my opinion.

definitely. its all about the person
the wedding i was in this past wknd--the dress the bride's mom wore--most would see it and think 'not appropriate for a mom' but she was STUNNING in it cause she has an amazing figure.

Totally depends on your Mom's style.
I think if you are comfortable with it, then who cares.
It does look a little young, but if your Mom can pull it off, why not?

Personally i feel like that dress is too puffy and would take away from me..i love the style..but maybe straighter fitting on the bottom

yeah I felt the same way. I'm not a fan of pickups either but for some reason this dress looks very nice to me. MY mom is a young mom anyway she's 43 and she act even younger so at this point i feel like hell let her wear whatever gown she wants as long as its formal...coz the other dress she was going to wear was nowhere near formal. she hasn't tried it on yet so we'll see what it looks like

It's a beautiful dress. If you like it and it fits with everyone elses attire, I say go for it

its a bit heavy though just so you know, my MOH tried it on and she liked it but said its a very heavy dress and harder to move around in so definitely tell her to try it on. As long as its not inappropriate then i say let her wear what she likes best

i know i love it and that color would look great on my mom who has dark hair and is darker skinned than me, yeah i dont look like i belong with the rest of my family lol...but she likes the 2nd one better bc she says it hides more of what needs to be hidden lol, the first one shows more of your stomach and all that

if she wants to wear and you're cool with it, then more power to her. i think it's a beautiful dress, but personally i think it's too much for a mob dress, i think it could take away from you. JMO

hmmm i dont know if it will take away from the bride, personally i think the bride is well the bride and will stand out no matter what, not like the mother will take away from you. Ive seen MOB have big extravagant dresses and its fine. As long as its not a wedding dress its ok lol
ALOT of girls use that type of dress for BM's and you not only have 1 person but many in that one dress and it still doesnt take away
