Opinions needed on B-Party

Hello ladies I wanted to book Vegas for my B-Party. However, many of my close friends will not be able to go bc of $$. I really want them to be there for my B-Party so...I am considering either AC or NYC. If NYC, I would like to do dinner, and a nightclub afterwards, and book a limo or stay overnight at a hotel. If we go to AC, dinner a nightclub, and the pool party at Harrah's. The thing is I've never been to AC before, is Harrah's the best place to stay, my gf told me I would love Harrah's. I rally wanted to go to Vegas bc I love it so much and the REHAB pool party is the best! So, maybe Harrah's is similar?? Anyone been here before, what is it like? any help is appreciated! TY!

harrahs last week , i was there in the day bc i went on a thursday and the club was not open, i heard it is really good!

Never been to harrah's.... only stayed at bally's and visited tropicana and borgata... harrah's is farrr away from everything else on the strip... when i go there, i like to go on the boardwalk and walk into various casinos and you def cant go that staying at harrah's or the borgata for that matter...

if its the fact that your girls dont have the money, im not sure if doing an AC trip would help... the rooms are still expensive and prob alot of money needed to blow in the casinos... i was considering it at first but i think everyone losing in the casino would put a damper on the trip lol

so we're going to ocean city, md instead... it's a very cool beach town.... kinda like seaside but 10000x better... its only a 4- 4 1/2 hr drive too... you'd love this place called seacrets.... its always a huge outdoor party there.... the strip there has the bay on 1 side and like 3 blocks away is the ocean on the other side... like a mini island

It is a bit out of the way at harrahs, it was like a $15 cab ride to the boardwalk, but we crammed in 5 people so it wasnt too bad, you do have to drive through some sketchy areas at night though. We dont gamble that much so that wasnt an issue. We were lucky to get $20 rooms, my friends are crazy and spend lots of time on the internet looking for cheap things. Food and stuff can get pricey though. You save money in transportation.

As for A.C., Harrah's pool is the best, Borgata's clubs are the best, and Carmine's at The Trop is the best food for the best price, family style Italian (and there's good shopping at normal stores at the Trop).

I think A.C. is better than Vegas for a B.P., because there is SO much to do in Vegas and such hype about it that a one or two night trip is overpriced and not enough time to actually take in the best it has to offer. The clubs are overrated, the shows are unbelievably good -- but who wants to go to a show where you can't talk to your girls???

Clubbing at Borgata and bathing by the Harrah's pool is as good as you can have in a weekend, even in Vegas, for a fraction of the price.

Do Vegas with your husband, spend 4 days 3 nights, and make it a vacation. You'll go back often.

And for the record, for my bachelorette, we quilted and jarred fruit. Oh, and we darned our FH's and husband's socks, all night long, listening to Big Band music. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I had no idea that Harrah's and the Borgota was far away from everything else, I'll take this into consideration also. Yeah, I was thinking this might be expensive but I can't picture it being as much $$ as Vegas, spend money wise. My friend went to Univ of Delaware and always raved about Ocean City, she used to go there all the time and loved it! So, you will have a great time for your B-party!

We only plan to stay one night so maybe the cab fare won't be too bad. there are trains now that go to AC and honestly this to me sounds AWESOME. Whenever dh mentions going to AC, i think of the drive and say forget it. And let me say that i used to drive to the hamptons every other weekend in the summer and sit in a lot of traffic and take 2 or more hours to get there and didn't mind. If it were 3 hours away in LI i dont mind but jersey traffic is HORRIBLE and so annoying. I remember driving back from AC and so tired from the night before and i was going crazy on the drive back, the traffic was so bad it took close to 5 hours. S*CKED bc only option before used to be the bus and that wasnt any better. Now Amtrak has a train called ACES that goes to AC, its 2 hours and 4 minutes, so you will get there quicker than driving. They have dinner cars, bar cars, lounge areas too and they are comfy seats. They have economy and vip but the vip i dont think its worth it. Train tickets start at $40 which is what you'll pay close to in gas. This way you can just sleep and hang out on the train, even drink and have fun.

Now that theres a train, i would be a lot more willing to go to AC, and this comes from a person who loves driving everywhere, even when i go out to the city i always drive there but hate driving to jersey lol

OMG! Thank you so much for mentioning the train, it sounds like a goo idea. I was going to consider NYC and not AC bc of the drive. I really can't stand being in the car a long time UNLESS we are cruising, being stuck in traffic drives me nuts. lol. The price doesn't seem bad at all for the train, I'll look into it for sure.
