Yes, It was really not our style, sort of rundown in my opinion, but the person we met with was very nice and accommodating and the prices were great. HTH

we went to look at it..prices were great, but i didnt really like the layout of the different rooms---we ended up looking at timber point (also in the same price range..a little bit more) but much nicer!!

Thanks, that's good to know. I've been to Timber Point and liked it there too!

I went to a wedding there last month and thought it was really nice. I'm not sure if we were in the Merrywood Cottage or a different room though.

Thanks...yeah I'm not sure if there's more than one room. I'm going to look at it next week.

Re: Opinions on Merrywood Cottage at Smithtown Landing?

I liked it. I went to a bridal showcase there and it was held in the Merrywood Room which was gorgeous. However, when they showed us where the cocktail hour would be, everyone would have to walk outside to get to the merrywood room. I didn't personally care for that. It was still my 2nd choice though. I booked Timber Point which imo is prettier.
