Need opinions….. The priest called today for a time for the wedding I said 4 even though our cocktail hour starts at 8 I want to make sure we have time for pictures because FH and I want to be a part of our cocktail hour. I said we’d rather not be taking pictures at the Watermill while our guests are walking in some pictures they take are right by the entrance. Also it’s March and you never know what the weather will bring, My MOH thinks I should do church at 5….. If we did the church at 5 I would feel rushed and worried all the pictures won’t be done by the time cocktail hour starts, and we want our day to go smoothly I would rather have the extra hour in the bridal suite if that what it comes down to and get settled before cocktail hour and be able to enjoy the day. What is everyone else doing and any opinions would be awesome......

Re: opinions on timing
i was told that the posed photos take between 1 - 2 hours total ... though obviously, that's diff from person to person.
so i think either starting at 4 or 5 would work ... but if you're going to be stressed about it, then have the ceremony start at 4.

Were doing a ceremony. Church is about 20 mins from Watermill.

Re: opinions on timing
Do it at 4p - what ever makes you feel most comfortable - like you said March can be pretty unpredictable and weather can also cause a hinderance on timing. Given the fact that you already have your photographer booked for whatever time allocated - you'll also get more time to play around with different shots... you never want to feel rushed and allow a more relaxed atmosphere. The upside is that you might possibly have more time to take pictures on site and spend more time with your guests at cocktail hour.

Thanks for all the opinions I think I'm going to keep it at 4.
