if u can swing it, do both... apples wont cost too much anyway.

BUT if youre looking to save $- the cookbook as a place card is a great idea!

oh i missed your question - I was planning on cutting them out.

I just found this on Ebay - most of the die-cuts seem to be maple or oak tress - but this would work as an apple leaf and it says you can choose the paper.

HTH!

awesome thanks! the only problem ive seen with die-cuts is they're nearly impossible to print onto. i dont feel like hand writing each place cards.

gosh I love all your ideas! I can't pick!

The cookbook idea is fabulous! May I ask where you are ordering your cookbooks from? It sounds like it could end up be a pricey favor, but nevertheless I'm interested!

Thanks!

It is a little spendy, so I am going to try to make them - if I like how they come out I'll do them myself. I have access to a binding machine and a lamanation at work, so I am going to try it out. If I don't like that or if seems like too much work. I'm going to have them made with iPhoto - my brother has done a few books this way and they come out beautiful!

the medium sized softcover are $9.99 each, plus $0.49 for eac additional page after 20 pages

and the small (postcard sized) are $3.99, plus $.029 per page after 20 pages

Thanks! I love the apples too - it isn't so much a money issue - it was more, how do I make sure people get the favors, when I am doing one per couple instead of one per person.

I think the apples would look really cute on the table - so I'm thinking of using them and an idea that was brought up in the thread - putting tags on the cooks books saying 'Mr. & Mrs. John Smith'
