I had planned on making place cards like this or mini pumpkins.
I am giving cookbooks as favors and am giving one per couple, I had been trying to figure out how to place them at the tables so each couple would get one.
So I had the idea of using the cookbooks as placecards as well as favours, that way each couple is sure to get one. And I was thinking I could use candied apples as favors/placecards for the kids.
Do you think this would work or would work or should I stick with my original placecards?
TIA!

I am using my favors as place cards, for the same reason (one per couple) I like the idea of using the candies apples for the kids place cards. It might be too much work? but could you put the apples on the cookbooks on the placecard table?
ETA: or maybe use a paper tag shaped as an apple and leaf as a placecard and then tie it to your cookbooks, just ideas

I like both of your ideas. Especially the apple tags for the cookbooks if I used them as placecards. Thanks!
Candy apples could get messy for the kids too, hmmmmm...

I think your original idea is ADORABLE! But, your new idea is a good way to save money. So, either way, you win!!

I love your idea. I think it would look great. If you do the candied apples for the kids, I would just make sure they were wrapped well, so the kids could eat them when they get home.

I haven't picked out the specific paper yet, I was planning on a medium weight with a satin feel, very smooth with no tooth.
I don't want it ultra stiff card stock, but something weighty enough that is won't droop - i'm just going to have to go to a paper store and 'feel' for the right one

but are you going to cut out each leaf or get a leaf puncher? im trying to find perforated paper for a leaf design but i cant find anything like it.

Re: opinions please :)
gosh I love all your ideas! I can't pick!
The cookbook idea is fabulous! May I ask where you are ordering your cookbooks from? It sounds like it could end up be a pricey favor, but nevertheless I'm interested!
Thanks!

Re: opinions please :)
oh i missed your question - I was planning on cutting them out.
I just found this on Ebay - most of the die-cuts seem to be maple or oak tress - but this would work as an apple leaf and it says you can choose the paper.
