I am inviting my co workers to the wedding. Its about 10 of them plus a guest which totals up to 20 ppl. I'm not going to say that we have the best relationship but I just felt weird seeing them on a daily baisis, spending more time with them then i do with my own family and not inviting them!
Problem now is that MOST of them wont give me their address to mail the invites. They want me to 'save the stamp' and give it to them at work. I already did this with the save the dates but that was less formal. What do you ladies think? Would this be too tacky? Should I demand their addresses in order to be invited???

Re: OPINIONS PLEASE!!!!
if that's what they want, then do it how they want it.
but if they want a thank you card, you're going to have to get their addresses

Re: OPINIONS PLEASE!!!!
Just tell them you'd like their addresses so that you have everyone's address in a database for when you send out your TY cards.
Or! I just thought of this one. Tell them that you have an outside vendor handling the invites, from soup to nuts, and that THEY are mailing them out for you.

if they insist that is how to send it to them, then just hand it to them. look at it this way you save money and they still get the rsvp. make sure that a stamp is on the rsvp stamp

If you are not inviting everyone then I see a problem handing them out at work. I personally would demand the addresses as I would not want to hand out my formal invites, but it's up to you.

if you are inviting all of them, then it isn't a big deal. but if you are leaving anyone out then it makes it more awkward. If you say that you will need it for a thank you note, they will just say to give it to them at work, too!

Re: OPINIONS PLEASE!!!!
No address - No invite! This is your wedding and obviously you are trying to do this in an organized fashion, why I am begging you for an address and paying for your plate. This is ridic..Demand for addresses so dont have to do it again for future occurences ( thank you card, bridal shower or whatever else you plan to have them a part of)
Guest demand too much! I understand the whole save the stamp bit but why is giving an address sooo hard to do...

This. Only thing a/b handing them out at work would be if there are people that you didn't invite in the same space as those that you did. They might feel some sort of way. I'm only inviting some of my co workers so to avoid this I got all their home addresses. HTH

IMHO, tacky. I would demand addresses, or no invite. then, if they don't give it, maybe they don't want to feel 'obligated' to go to your wedding.
HTH!

If they want you to bring it into work and they suggested it I think its fine to do that.

Re: OPINIONS PLEASE!!!!
I say don't invite them at all... if they can't give you their address, just say that you can't have their invite sent to them.
i don't know why people are so difficult... They think they are helping by saving the stamp but really it's more trouble for when you need to send out the TY cards...
