One of my bridesmaids and I have been friends for about six years. We were very good friends but it seems that we have drifted apart and don't really even spend any quality time together. I feel awkward about having her be by my side on my big day and expecting her to pay for all the things surrounding a wedding but I also don't really know what to say. Anybody else have the same problem? How did you resolve it?

I dont have that problem but to me friends are always there for each other and the best thing to do is talk about it! maybe she feels the same and doesnt want to be in wedding but doesnt want to hurt you either...its a sensitive subject especially because you guys are drifting but communication is everything! hth

I'm kind of in the same situation...I've been friends with one of my bridesmaids since i was in 7th grade but we also started drifting apart...I asked her to be my BM and she said yes but we do not talk as much & do not hang out often either. I feel closer to my other friends that I knew for shorter periods....I don't know what to do since she is already in my bridal party & I felt like I had to ask her. Don't let this happen - talk it out to make sure you are on the same page.
P.S. Everyone says my friend is probably jelous of me & that is why she is keeping her distance.
What is up with friends getting jelous??? We are supposed to be there for eachother not turn away in the happiest moments of our lives!

I couldn't agree more! Talk to her about your distance feeling...if you are truly friends you will be able to work it out and YOU will feel better!
