I like the base to #2 but the chairs from number 1 - do you have high ceilings - I think #1 even though it looks more formal would be too stuffy if your ceilings arent high enough

I like #1 more although both are really pretty. I think it's important to buy furniture because you like it and not 'for the house'. Eventually you may move and want something that you'll love for a lifetime.

#2 although I'm not crazy about the round back of the chairs...... I think they should have square backs to match the squareness of the table and china cabinet (love the china cabinet!)
