Opinions Please (bar)

Opinions Please (bar)

I am having a small renewal ceremony inviting 80 people. Out of the 80 people invited about 20 of them are drinkers(liquor). My reception site doesn't supply liquor or wine...and just champagne for the toast.

So, my question is what would you do? Would you just do beer, wine, and champagne since there are so few drinkers? Or would go ahead and purchase a variety of liquor?

Also I have no idea of how much to purchase of anything....ANY info would really be helpful.

hmmm... if you're supplying the beer and wine anyway, i would prob purchase some liquor as well, but i wouldn't go crazy. just a few bottles of the more popular stuff, a little variety... jack daniels, vodka, rum of some sort... i'm not even sure what else, because i'm not much of a drinker myself, lol. but maybe pick like 5 types and buy 2 bottles of each. but it's up to you... i'm sure people would do okay with the champagne, wine and beer. i'm just saying personally, i would prob buy some liquor too.

I agree.

Of those you know who drink liquor - any idea what they usually drink? You could maybe at least then narrow down what you might need to get...

thanks ladies....does anyone know about how? Say, I buy a bottle of vodka, how many bottles for 20 drinkers?

1 bottle of vodka (for example) can last you a long time if you're doing mix drinks. it's usually 1-2 ounces per drink.
I recommend 1-2 Bottles each of Vodka, Tequilla, rum to cover most of the bar drinks. Wine is a good option too.

I agree-wouldn't go crazy with liquor. I would buy a limited supply and giv your guests a few choices. ie, vodka, gin, and maybe pick one mikxed drink to feature.-Margarita or mudslides.
