opinions please-Night before wedding Rehearsal Dinner

Need opinions. I have my rehearsal and dinner scheduled for the night before the wedding. My BM brought up that this may be a little stressful. What do you all think about that? I feel like if I am home I will be bored and antsy, but then I feel like I might be stressed the day before.

We did it that way because we have alot of oot people in our BP. Opinions please??

if the night before is the only day that everyone is available, then keep it there ... it's only a couple of hours - you'll be fine

but if you can do it a diff day, i'd try to switch ... just in case

I think its fine. I had a similar situation where I was recently in a wedding in VA (in april), and the bride had the rehearsal dinner and rehearsal the night before the wedding, and everything turned out fine. It was a great way to kick off the weekend and by the time we got there we were starving and looking forward to dinner!
My friend, the bride, didn't seem stressed at all. The only thing that she was concerned about was us getting there on time because we were stuck in terrible traffic on I95.

Hmm it depends. My family/friends are a bunch of drinkers. We were at the RD until about midnight (and later) so we had it the Wednesday before our Friday night wedding. I would've been a mess the morning of the wedding if the rehearsal was the night before. If you're really just going to go for rehearsal and dinner you should be okay for the night before the wedding.

for me personally I would not want it to be the day before the wedding. I want to do nothing the day before the wedding except relax and get my nails done and drop off the stuff at the RH. I would do it 2 or 3 days before if you could.

Everyone that stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding...we all went out to dinner and my dad paid so it wasn't really a RD dinner per say but the night before it was so nice to spend time with our friends/fam and eat.

We dont have any OOT guests so Im in a bit of a different boat. Our RD is 2 nights before wedding. I would not have wanted it the night before. I just want to relax and take care of any last minute things without having to worry about getting ready for a dinner that night.

we're doing it the night before the wedding. All weddings i've been to have had the rehearsals the night before, don't worry!

I think if you know ahead of time that's what you're gonna do, you can make sure everything is done before you go to dinner. Then you can use the dinner as time to relax... which is what you'd be doing at home anyway, right? I don't think it's a bid deal, espcially if you're accomodating OOT'ers. Just don't have it too late.

Ours is the night before since one of our GM is coming in from VA...it ends at 10:30 and I plan on going to bed soon after that

Mine was the night before and I would not have had it any other way. We also had a bunch of OOT'ers. I was home (well in the hotel) by 11pm ready for bed.

I liked it cause it just made it more of a wedding weekend.

we had our RD the night before and it was PERFECT! I loved that it was the day before...we all had a nice relaxed dinner and then i came home and went to bed...I wouldnt have wanted it any other way!

I plan on doing our the night before the wedding. I'll just make sure its not too late..plus its a great kickoff!

it may be stressful. Im having mine the week before. all of my friends that have had their weddings have had their rehearsals the week before.

Our RD was the night before and it was great. It really got everyone excited and into the wedding and I made sure that everything was done by Friday at 12, so I could have a few hours to relax, do my hair/makeup and enjoy the RD as it's own event.
