My bridesmaids are all wearing tea-length dresses in light brown. I was hoping to find nice shoes to match the dress (vs. dyeables) but i'm having a tough time finding the right color and therefore decided to do the dyeables.
My question is: Do all of the girls have to have the same style shoes? Can I just tell them to get dyeables in any style they want or would that look funny?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Re: Opinions please: re shoes and bridesmaids
If you are going to require them to get their shoes dyed, then you need it all done in ONE batch, so the color matches. Have the girls each get a pair of dyeable shoes, give to you and you bring them all to the place where they are getting dyed. Allow each girl to choose their own style, so their feet are comfortable.

I think that would look fine!! Honestly, no one's going to be looking at the BM's shoes!!

I think you should let the girls pick their own shoe style. It actually looks cute because you get a taste of each girl's style. Plus, you want them to be comfortable. One pair may be perfect for one girl, but hurts the feet of another.

I think that's entirely up to you. Personally, I told my girls to get whatever shoe they wanted, so long as it was gold but that's just me. But, my dresses are also floor length. If you do tell them any shoes, I suggest taking them to get dyed all at once so they're the same dye lot. There's a place in Port Washington called After Five that will re-dye shoes (for free) afterwards so they can wear them again.

we're wearing all different shoes for my sister's wedding. I think it's cute cause each girl gets to show their own 'style'

my girls all have different styles tea length dresses so they will naturally have different shoes. i think your will be fine with different styles- it'll be theri comfort level.
I'm dealing with the same issue for the color shoes- i have mochas dresses and not sure what color shoes the girls should have?

I totally agree! Let them pick what is comfortable, and have them all dyed at the same time!

Let them pick whatever they want. My girls wore tea length and all picked out pink shoes in whatever style they liked. They looked great!

My girls are wearing tea length as well. I asked if they preferred dyables or strappy silver sandles - they voted for sandles. Since they live in different states - they will definitely NOT be wearing the same shoes.
Also, I have a pic in my office from a wedding I was in a while ago - 6 girls all wearing different shoes - it doesn't matter!!!
