Personally, I wouldn't. Not only would I want my shower to be somewhere different, but I'm sure FSIL wouldn't want her wedding at the same place your shower is. Especially if it's going to be a lot of the same people.

to be honest, i personally also want my own place for everything, lol. i know im a brat too. no but seriously ,its natural for one to want their guests to walk in and be wowed cuz they havent been there at all or in a really long time.

i would try to put another choice on your list. i know its a little hard with 100 but you can find one definately. can i ask what your choices are?

maybe you can call her and tell her that you were planning on booking that place and you want to know where she is having hers. this way you can get a feel for whether or not she was going to book the place you want.

I am a brat too!! I want my own place for everything. If I were you I would keep my fingers crossed your FSIL doesn't want the place. If she does.... then I would keep looking. There are a lot of nice restaurants that can hold that amount, as well as smaller catering halls.
