opinions - shower gifts

hi girls! so my shower is coming up on march 23rd (i had to know the date because my work schedule changes weekly). i have lots of people coming from out of state who are sending me gifts ahead of time so they don't have to transport them, which is totally fine by me. of course they've arrived at our house when i haven't been home but my fiance has been, and he's opened every single one! my question is do i bring these gifts to the shower and just put them on the table, or do i just leave them home? opinions please!

my shower is march 29 and the same thing is happening to us too! My mom is making me open them all now and store them in the basement. She said there will be plenty of gifts to open at the shower so we aren't bringing them with us... it takes too long! lol

We had a bunch of gifts at the house as well but my mom didn't bring them. She didn't want to have to carry them to the place to open only to place them back in the car and bring back to my house. Since the people sending them didn't want to have to transport them either, she figured they would understand. No one ever said anything about it.

I think you're fine leaving those gifts at home. People sent them to your house so they wouldnt have to transport them so i think they'd understand why YOU wouldnt transport them either.

I just had my shower on Sunday. My MIL took the cards off the gifts that were sent to her house and wrote what was given and I read them out during the time i opened presents. It worked out pretty well.

that's what i was thinking but my mom wants me to bring them. i think she's a little crazy! thank you everyone!

At my friends shower after she opened the gifts, she just mentioned the other gifts she had received and thanked those people as well.
