what is everyone's opinon on having the maid of honor in a difft color dress.
my bridesmaids are wearing an indigo color dress. I looked at the swatches and thought that a pebble silver color would look nice to it.
I know some people like to distinguish the maid of honor in a difft color? what does everyone think. Part of me wants to, but then I'm not srue if that would look good in the photo's?
Also, what about junior bridesmaids? i have a 11 yr old and 12 yr in the party- do I have them wear white dresses with an indigo sash maybe? or the same indigo dress with straps on it....
i need help. lol

I got my MOH a different dress in the same color as the BM's.
When I was looking for dresses, I originally was going to do the BM in light purple with dark purple sashes, and the MOH in dark purple dress with a light purple sash, but I found a dress I loved even better for the girls in one color, and it wouldnt look good with the sash.

thanks. yeah these dresses don't have sashes- and wouldn't look right with one.
i was thinking of putting them all the indigo dress- and MOH have a bigger bouquet.
then have the junior bridesmaids wear the same dress just tea length- i think that would look cute.
do you think indigo is too dark for a labor day wedding? for some reason i see indigo and think more winterish?

My MOH is wearing a different color.
My 7 BMs are wearing a bright canary yellow, and my MOH is wearing a pale yellow....same dress though.

what shade of blue would blend good with indigo?
the periwinkle did not look good with it- side by side.
that's why i was thinking a silver next to it....

I had my girls in one color and my mohs in a totally different color! It was great. Look in my album at pro pics

you can distinguish the MOH in lots of ways (same dress diff color, same color diff dress, diff jewelry, bigger bo-k/diff flowers). we're doing the same color in a different dress. i think the indigo and silver would look hot together tho.

My Maid of honor is in the same dress but different color. My matron of honor is in the same color but different dress.

ALot of people do different color... In my situation I can't but I would.

I am wrestling with the same issue...I am thinking of having my MOH in a diff color, same dress. Was originally going to do the reverse with the sash thing, but the dress I like the sash only comes in the same color as the dress. I think the silver would look really good with the indigo!! And def fine for labor day weekend...I am in sept and prob doing navy dresses with yellow as the accent color....

My MOH is wearing the same dress and color but she is going to wear a broach with crystals on it so it will distinguish her but she will be tied in with the rest of the BM's.

My Matron of Honor will be wearing the same dress, same color as the BMs. Her bo-k will be slightly bigger though and will have different jewelry.

At this point, I don't know if I'm really doing anything to distinguish my MOH from my other two BMs. Maybe different jewelry.

My MOH actually didnt want to be in a different color, she likes the color all teh other girls are wearing so I'm going to give her slightly different flowers and maybe change up her jewlery a little bit

my moh has the same as the bridesmaids the only difference will be the bouquet shes holding, it will be different from the bridesmaids.

my BP will all be in the same color, but the MOH will have a sash in a different color (a pale silver) to stand out. The other girls will be monochromatic. FG will be in white with the sash in the blue color of the BM gowns.

I did the same. All of my girls are wearing the same color by the same designer. But my MOH has a slightly different dress the compliments the others. I love the way it looks all together!
