my mom had a lot of problems w/it when she first got it too. something about the cable being split too many times. maybe that's the problem? hope you get it fixed!

Maybe... but it has been working fine for about a year. This just started last week!

DSL isn't all that hot... it depends on how close you are to the substation... and it's still a phone line.

Like I said it was fine for a year and now it sux. I hope you all don't jix yourselves!
I am also fed up with cablevision and the prices I don't care if DSL is a little slower at least it will be on and not increasing in price all the time.

It has been giving me MAJOR problems tonight- It took me an hour to get an e-mail that I was sent the hour before! UGH! I am getting so frustrated with it!

I think this is an internet wide problem, not an OOL problem - i have Comcast cable at home, and I've been having the exact same problems (and I've heard other people saying the same - people who also don't have optimum)

we have had opt for 5 yrs now, and must of experience less then 10 outages over that time. 1 problem last more then 1 day...other wise an hour or two tops... the 1815+ days, never a problem
