order and timing of reception

How did you determine the order and timing of everything for the reception? Did the RH do that for you or did you give them a list of the order you want everything to go in? Like First dance, Father/Daughter dance, mom/groom dance, garter removal, Bok toss, cake cutting etc.. I think I might be providing a list, but at the same time, I dont know if its necessary or even if I know what I am doing.

But for instance, some people do the father/daughter dance right after the first dance to get it over with, some people do it after, but maybe that I want to get it over with at the beginning? I dont know. What did you do? or are doing?
