order of events

order of events

I was told to write up a mock program, just so the sound people and the pastors can look over it and know what I'm looking to do. I have no idea the order of which things happen in a wedding though! I've been to plenty, but never paid THAT MUCH attention. Can somebody help me out and let me know how everything fits in??

Theres:

- The seating of parents, special guests, etc
- The entrance of the Bridal Party, and then the Bride
- Opening prayer
now what? I've still got
- 2 scripture readings
- the Hand Ceremony (which is basically like another reading, just a little longer)
- the song that my sister is singing
- the Unity Sand Ceremony (in place of the candle)
- and obviously the exchange of vows & rings

which order do these go in?

TIA

I'd go over it with your pastor and get their opinions.

but looking at it I'd guess something along these lines

- The seating of parents, special guests, etc
- The entrance of the Bridal Party, and then the Bride
- Opening prayer

- 1st scripture reading
- the song that my sister is singing
- 2nd scripture reading
- the exchange of vows & rings
- the Unity Sand Ceremony (in place of the candle)
- the Hand Ceremony (which is basically like another reading, just a little longer)

thanks for your opinion. I can't talk to the Pastor about it, because they're the ones that told me to do the mock program. i guess maybe they'll move things around later, but for now i need to write it up myself
