Re: Ordering Dresses Online
I found my dress for a cheaper price on gownfind.com and faxed it in to RKBridal and they matched the price and took off another 5 percent. Im only paying 461.25 for the gown that was originally 749! Now lets hope it fits LOL

I know that RK Bridal is safe to order online, and its usually cheaper online than in the store. Ive read a lot on it, especially in Bridal Bargains book.

OMG That just made me feel SO MUCH BETTER! Thank you! Im just worried about my size. Im usually a 4 in all the wedding gowns I tried on but since this one hugs my hips, I ordered a 6 to be safe. (My hips are a 39) If it doesnt fit, Im gonna have to buy me some Alli pills and get to the gym!

Did you go to RK Bridal in the city? Were you able to try it on there or get measured? Ive been in the store, and Im sure they would do that for you.
I hope it works out for you! Great price! Let us know how it turns out, and show pics!!!

I didnt get measured in the city. They said they would measure once I decided to buy the dress and I wanted to order it online. The only dress they had in store was a size 14 so I couldnt really tell how a 6 would fit. We just have to wait and see! Ill definitely post pics when it comes :)

Gownfind.com if Phyllis from Bridal Elegance. She is located on LI. You can get the same price through her store if you're more comfortable going there to be measured. They also do alterations.

Re: Ordering Dresses Online
When I was shopping for the best price on my gown, I looked at a lot of those sites, and then I contacted Casablanca and asked them about them. Casablanca said, in a very diplomatic fashion, while naming no names, NOT to go with an online seller, even one that claims to be an authorized seller (except for RK Bridal) because they have had so many hysterical brides contacting them when their gowns never showed up. I think what a lot of them do is, instead of placing an order with the gown manufacturer, they try to find the gown on the secondary resell market where it's cheaper. Sometimes they can't find one. Sometimes they do find one, but it's a sample or not in perfect condition.
What I decided is that it wasn't worth saving $150-$200 but having to worry for months whether my gown was actually going to show up and be perfect.
