Ordering Invitations

I was wondering how many months in advance should I get my invites? I'm getting married in May, and I was thinking of ordering them in the middle of Dec. Is that too early??

It depends on how long the company needs to get them ready for you. I worked with a calligrapher to have mine designed and it took us a while to get them exactly how I wanted them. If you are ordering from one of the big invite sites like Invitations by Dawn or Rexcraft then you probably need about 3-4 weeks lead time. The invites should go out in March. So you are early a bit- but as long as you are SURE the major details will NOT change at all then order early. You can get them all done without a lot of time pressure.

buttafli, I am getting married the day before you

and i also, am going to order my invites in december, this way by the time i choose a design, they come in etc, i have plenty of time to work on them.
i have done everything so far, stress free because i did them early
