Ordering Now?

Do you girls think its crazy for me to start ordering all the extras that I want to have at the wedding?
We are gettng married April 14-2007 but i figured I would offset some of the costs now...
I could order the matchbooks, personalized napkins, make the 'we do' letters, and the cake topper?

Any I too anal or just being reallllllyyyyy realllyy excited?

I think that's smart..I have started doing some of that, it does help with the cost at the end

I do understand the excitement cause I CANNOT WAIT!!!!

I think it's smart too - I bought little things here and there throughout my engagement and I'm so glad I did.

not crazy to me. I just did our cake topper. I have our card box, my garter, veil and comb, guest book and pen etc. I'm getting married the same month as you. If you can do it. I figure you should spend now while wedding costs are still low and all the balances aren't due yet.

I think its a great idea. You will have enough things the last few months to pick up. I think its a great idea to knock a few things off the list.

It's a good idea to start now. That way when it gets nearer, you won't have to worry about it.

get everything you can now!!! I got my favors like half a year ago and a bunch of other small things a while ago! It saves you so much trouble, hassle, stress and money!!!

The more you get done now, the better. We're starting the small stuff as well.

Re: Ordering Now?

Some advice from a 2006'er...i did as much as I could early i.e. slipper baskets, silk petals, decorate OOT bags, decorate Bridsmaid bags, purchased candles, layed out template format, made table name frames, decorated bathroom baskets, bought bridesmaid gifts, make up trials, ordered napkins, and it was the best thing I did. Now that I have only 4 1/2 months until the wedding, I find myself with very little time. if I had to do all of these little things now, I wouldn't have the time or my FH would want to kill me. Not to mention it breaks of the expenses instead of scraping pennies at the end. Do as much as you can as early as you can. Less to worry about!!!

While I think it's a great idea, you may decide you like something better down the road or change your mind about certain touches for your wedding, then you'll be spending the money all over again or get disappointed about not wanting to spend additional money later.

Just a thought.

I guess that could be the case for some but so far I haven't had that problem and I've been planning/buying for over a year already.
