I've been hearing different things. some say it takes year to come in others say 8-10 months. last night lady told me 6 months. Anyone know exactly how long for demetrios or maggie sottero dress to come in?
I keep hearing different stories too. I hear that it depends on the designer and some take longer than others. But sometimes I think they exaggerate the time it will take to pressure you into buying the dress sooner. I think 6 months is a safe bet.
Every store will tell you something different to get you to buy dress from them. But the general rule of thumb is 6-10 months. I didn't even bother to ask actually, I just gave them a date a month earlier than my actual wedding, and told the bridal store that the dress was from 2004 collection so to please order it ASAP because I didn't want to be like my sister and find out the dress was discontinued!!!!
I ordered my dress in aug of '04 & it didn't come in till aug '04. I also think that designers may complete orders for dresses for girls whose wedding is coming up verses someone that orders there dress 16 months in advance. I wouldn't worry though your dress I am sure will come in when you need it.
I don't know about Demetrios but Maggies take on average 16 weeks (4 months). I've been told that by two different salons.
Depends....they told me mine would take forever....and i got it in ...like 2 months after i ordered it!! LOL
I personally would allow 10 months regardless. You just do not know. I allowed about 9 & it came in 4, but at least I wasn't stressing that it wouldn't come on-time. JMO.
i would just go by what the salon you are going to order from tells you. i ordered my maggie from centereach bridal and they told me it could take up to 6 months, and to call in 2 weeks to get an exact date. so when i called i was told it should arrive the first or second week of dec and thats good by me (i ordered mid-july). ~lacey
