Ordering your Dress...

OK Ladies- I am in need to some advice- This past weekend I went to 3 more stores in search of my wedding dress. It turns out I STILL LOVE the dress I saw at Lillette's 2 weeks ago - so, decisision made! Problem is, my mom and I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa - the dress was about $100 more expensive at BR so it should be a no brainer to get it at Lillette's except that the women at BR is like 'oh we have THE BEST seamstress, we are the best...' - SO where to order the dress from? BR? Lillette's? BR has come down in price so nice it's only a $50 price difference. SO, what to do..who to order it from?!?! Am I the only Sept bride who hasn't ordered her gown!?! Can you tell I am VERY Stressed!!!

Jus tbecause BR says they have the best seamstress doesn't mean anything. Lillette's probably does a good job too. Did Lillette's give you that $50 off coupon too- is that included in the price difference?

I got the $50 coupon also so when all totalled it's $50 difference. I agree with you - I think every salon will say they do the best alterations, etc.
Everyone RAVES about Lillette's but I don't hear too many reviews about seamstresses and alterations - maybe it's my mom whose making me NUTS!

Did you find out how much each caps the alterations at. I ordered my dress at Bridal Reflections and by the time you add in the bustle and the alterations it could be like 350? dollars more. That is something to consider too. I think Princess Bridals also told me they had 'the best' seamstress and Davids Bridals told me their alterations are excellent. They are not going to say they stink.

Both BR and Lilettes cap alterations at $250 but not sure if that includes the bussle - good thinking!
I think that my mom is hung up on the fact that BR is a nice salon aesthetically - I try to tell her that doesn't mean anything!

I know my mom was totally sold on the look of BR in Massapequa. BR told me they charge either 95 or 100 for the bustle- I can't remember which.

I really need to order my dress in the next 2 weeks since both places have said that it takes about 6 months to come in and I am cutting it short. I told my mom, listen, I would be happy with either place so it's up to you but that didn't help...CHOOSING the dress was less stress than this!

I think so too Curley - I think we are going to go to Lillette's and order the dress on Sunday - they have been nothing but the nicest to us so I don't think we will have any problems there!

Tan Bride another reason to go with Lillette's is that you can use the $50 towards shoes.

After a long talk with my mom last night (as well as her talking to some of her friends) - we are going with Lillettes- I have an appointment there on Sunday to get measured for my dress and that's it ! VERY EXCITING!! Thanks for all your help!
