Organza veil?

Organza veil?

I have looked a t a few veils and every one I have tried on feels too poufy for me. I don't want the veil to be very puffy behind my head - I think I am wearing my hair up so the veil would be attached underneath my hair - I just want it to fall nicely. I think I want a one tier too. My sister recommended an organza veil because it would fall straight down. My dress has an organza overlay so it would work well.

My question is, where do I buy one??? I found one place online that sells them but would love to hear other options.

TIA!

I feel the same way you do!! I was going to get a organza veil from Barrons in tri-county, go there she can make it for exactly the way you want.
I ended up with mantilla veil, which will lay flat in the back of my head with a comb.
I will try and upload a photo for you.

thanks - but mantilla is wayyyy too much for me, i want something simple and the lace would also clash with my dress design. but i can see how the lace would make it just fall from the head nicely.

I think they can make it at Barrons also. I have the same issue as you do. I tried a few on at Barrons and I liked them and almost ordered but it was more than I was willing to spend until I went to a few other cheaper places and I absolutely HATED the way I looked with the puffy veil on top because the tool was so stiff. I may have to s u c k it up and go back to Barrons and just pay. They did have beautiful veils.

Yeah, Barrons just seemed like a lot of money to me, and I'm sure it's more for organza. I do want something simple though, so maybe it won't be that bad. I will check there. I found a place online that sells what I want for like $68 ... it's in the UK though and I probably will pay a ton on shipping. So I will keep looking but I definitely want to try one on before I buy from a website ...

I got my veil from a booth at Attias flea market - I agree about Barron's - for what you're looking for - they're pricey... I paid $80 for mine - it's mantila-ish. It's attached to a comb with lace edging.

She had simpler ones too - all her veils were less than $90.

I think - no matter which veil material you end up with you can just starch it to make it stiffer and flatter, you know?

Re: Organza veil?

you can do something similar to a drop veil...it attaches with a hat pin or something like that

http://www.veilshop.com/Drop-Veils_c_5567-1.html

there are different types of tulle...some are thicker/stiffer etc.

if u dont have the veil attached to a comb or if you dont have a lot of gathering...it shouldnt end up being toooo pouffy.
