hello! how long does it typically take to get your marraige license back after the wedding? i want to change my name on my SScard before we move to NC and then change my name on my licence at the NC DMV., but i'm not sure how long it takes to get the marraige license in the mail. ??

We got married and went on our HM for two weeks. When we got home...it was sitting in our mailbox addressed 'Mr. and Mrs. XXX' We were so happy to get it, now I can begin my name changing.

Your marriage certificate can take anywhere from 10 days to 2 months depending on the county.
That being said, we got our marriage certificate w/int the ten days.

thanks! we are in suffolk, i hope we get it asap so i can change it at the local SS place, bc once we move my schedule is packed and i wont know where anything is there lol.

We're also in Suffolk and we got married on a Saturday night. We came home from the HM the following Sunday and my mom said it had just come in the mail!!
