OK i just started this Ortho tricyclen crap and i have been having my period for 3 weeks!!!! i dont know if i should stop taking it, or i dunno, AHHH

Weight gain is usually very little and mostly due to water retention. Its rare to gain a lot of weight without changing your eating habits. A lot of the pills increase metabolism and make you more hungry. Most of the people who gain a lot of weight don't realize that and eat much more.

I have been on OTC for about 2 years and I think it's great! I did gain about 5 lbs but I turned 30 when I started the pills so I though it might be age related. My skin looks so much better since I started OTC. I did not find any changes in my libido or mood, but any pill can have these side effects. There is also a new OTC called OTC Lo with less hormones. Ask your dr.

I guess they all give some kind of side effect b/c I just started on Ortho Evra and my libido has been zero and I had the heaviest period, tenderness in my breast, nauceousness, lightheadedness. I just want to rip this darn patch off I am giving it 2 more weeks and then it is back to the pull out

I also have found low libido on the ortho tricyclen. Thought it was just me though. Also, I am so exhausted all the time. I am thinking of changing pills too.
