So far Naomi Watts & Jennifer Garner have my vote (for looking good). Haven't seen any of the heavy-hitters yet though...

Are you sure that was Renee's date? I thought that was her manager or something (I forget his name-but I've seen him at a couple of award events w/ her). I know she's been on again/off again w/ Jack White from the White Stripes.
PS- looks like she lost the Bridget Jones weight, eh?

PS2- 'Lord of the Rings' is really wiping all the other away!!! Woo Hoo! (sorry, I'm an Orlando fan- who by the way isn't present )

Best dressed man IMO is by far and away Djimoun Hounsou(BSA nominee) the tie, & glasses...he looked amazing...

What's up w/ Joan Rivers face (for anyone who saw her on E!) She turned around & my husband & I both screamed. She is just as bad as Michael Jackson. She looks NOTHING like she did in the 80's!!

I need to know Diane Lane's secret. She looks better than most of the women half her age! Loved Jennifer Garner's dress, and didnt understand Umas dress

I love Johnny Depp, but could have lived w.out the Edward Scissorhands haircut. He and his wife look like they are related I loved Pirates of the Carribean, but was so happy Sean Penn won. He is too cute

Can someone tell me why Billy Crystal was naked in the opening video??? GROSS Who needs to see THAT on a Sunday night?!?

I loved Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock's dresses the best. I thought Liv Tyler looked very statuesque and pretty onstage. I also though Renee Z looked good but too thin - and I forgot about Diane Lane - she is beautiful. Charlize - loved her dress - but she was way too orangey tan.

I dont see the fascination with Nicole Kidman lately- she is way too pale and lately her eyes look almost alien like and bug eyed and her forehead is huge - plus the blonde perfectly coifed hair washes her out.

I used to think Nicole Kidman was one of the prettiest celebs. She was stunning when she had those beautiful red curls .. now she just loooks bad. Far too thin, too washed out....she's got a beautiful ivory complexion and that blond hair does nothing for her.

But I think she's a terrific actress.

Best couples:

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith (so gorgeous, so classy!)

Christopher Guest and Jamie Lee Curtis (they always seem to be having fun, even if he looks a bit uncomfortable at these gala events)

Elvis Costello and Diana Krall (She's always stunning, and I can't believe how great he looks. I've been a fan forever and he's never looked better.)

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson! (Could I love them more? I doubt it. But where's Luke Wilson?????)

'Mitch and Mickey' (I am seriously tempted to use 'A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow' for my wedding first dance but very few people will get it...)

Other stuff:

Loved Alison Krauss' two performances and Annie Lennox's performance.

Was glad to see Sean Penn get his due, though I was really hoping for Bill Murray to win.

Sofia Coppola isn't boring, just awkward. Her two films are brilliant. First American woman to be nominated for best director -- I'm happy for her.

And Annie Lennox was just amazing!! (She get's better w/ age)

Was THRILLED that Sean Penn won!! He is a brilliant actor!!
