OT: Update on my job situation...
So, i got a letter in the mail today that told me I did not get the 4th grade position - which is a little disappointing, but I was kind of iffy about it, so it's probably for the best.
I then got a call about a Head Start position in pre-k for next Friday in a different district. The pay is a lot less (I'd make more with my bachelors in the county that i want, than i will with my masters in this county). So, the pay is about 4,000 different, and I've heard that since they are so over budget, that there's no money for subs, so their pay comes out of your salary![]()
Plus, I really want elementary school (2-6) over pre-k.
But I'm going anyways. Wish me luck. I'm going to call and try to find out more with the county that I really want before that interview.
The lady in human resources there knows me, and told me to call her whenever I want to find out about new jobs, so I'm going to do that tomorrow or Friday.
Wish me luck! I'd love to have a job by June if at all possible so I can come back to LI for the summer and relax a bit before the wedding mayhem!
