Ouch...

I woke up this morning feeling like somebody stabbed me through the left eye with an ice-pick. My head is throbbing... but just on the left side of my head, behind my eye. So painful, I want to keep my eyes closed. Owwwww

OK, just had to vent... thanks ladies

I've been waking up with headaches a lot lately. Maybe it's your sinuses? Pop some advils.

Sounds like a migraine to me....Do you ever get migrianes??? might this be your first???

If you don't have any precription migraine stuff - here are some things you might want to try:

A can of pepsi - sometimes the caffeine helps...

pinch the fatty skin between your thumb and pointer finger as hard as you can stand it - homeopathic remedy (the relief is only temporary, but it sometimes helps...)

Ice bag on the side of the head that hurts....

stay in a dark room with no TV or Lights

Have hubby or anyone around give your temples a rub.....

If the Ice bag aggrivates it - try a hot compress....(I prefer Ice, but my mom needs heat and we both suffer from persistent migraines)

and last but not least -

STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!!!! It will bother your eyes and then bother your migraine.....

I like your idea, Sage: 'stay in a dark room with no TV or Lights'!! Unfortunately my job requires that I park my behind in front of a PC all day... so I'm sure that's not helping. I took some acetominophen which took the edge off... so hopefully it will go away entirely. I don't think I've ever had a migraine, I guess this is my first.

Can you leave early? I know the feeling.....When I get a migraine at work, The PC and the flourescent lights are a KILLER....GO HOME!

I hope you feel better. Sometimes when I get headaches like that, the only thing that helps me is to go to sleep.
