Ouch...got my 1st florist quote

My final vendor to book...florist. Went to my first appointment today and I can't belieeeve the quote I got.

$8000!! And that's giving me a 'discount' bc my sisters went there. I never gave them a budget going in, and they were so great and really patient- knew exactly what I wanted...so I don't want to talk negatively about them. But, after hearing $8k I wasn't going to be like 'what can you do for half of that?'

This should be fun..not! I've been breezing through, haven't had any budget issues...but flowers are going to be a tough one! Champagne taste on a beer budget!

Definitely look into Hidden Essence. She gave me amazing quotes. Black Dahlia didn't give me centerpiece quotes but I did find their bouquets very affordable.

Yeah i got a quote like that at first. then i decided to do alternating high/low centerpeices and I saved alot more... got the most for my $$ at distinctive floral design

Almost everyone quoted me between $5,000 and $8,000 and Designs by Rose did the same exact flowers for $3700. Shop around and call Designs by Rose. They do high end wedding all the time and for such less $$.
