My final vendor to book...florist. Went to my first appointment today and I can't belieeeve the quote I got.
$8000!! And that's giving me a 'discount' bc my sisters went there. I never gave them a budget going in, and they were so great and really patient- knew exactly what I wanted...so I don't want to talk negatively about them. But, after hearing $8k I wasn't going to be like 'what can you do for half of that?'
This should be fun..not! I've been breezing through, haven't had any budget issues...but flowers are going to be a tough one! Champagne taste on a beer budget!

Omg!!! Flowers is my last vendor too. That's craziness. I've heard hidden essence is decent in pricing. I think I'm going there first.

Keep shopping around. I thought my flowers were going to be so expensive when I saw them and they were only $3k. Unless you have a huge bridal party and a ton of tables. I have 10 center pieces, 5 bouquets, 7 boutineers, alter flowers and a few other things.

Same here. I started researching alternative options. I found this website called fiftyflowers.com I am thinking about order from there and hiring someone to deliver etc

FH's parents said they would get the flowers for us which is extremely generous of them, God bless 'em, but jeez louise, I hope it won't cost that much!!

Def shop around..there so many florists that I'm sure you will find one that will fit your budget and you will get everything you want

I would check out Michelle at Hidden Essence. She gave me the lowest quote by far and was amazing to work with. She's a total sweetheart that really gets your vision. There's pics of some of her work in my non-pro pics album.

keep shopping! i went to my first florist and they quoted me 8K too. Then I went to a second place & they wanted to charge me 7500. I then went to flowers by brian & got more then the other places for 5K && I liked the people better. See Fabiola, she's great!

Yeah i got a quote like that at first. then i decided to do alternating high/low centerpeices and I saved alot more... got the most for my $$ at distinctive floral design

I recommend going into the florist with a set $ and say ok what can you give me for that? The first few florists I went to were quoting me double my budget until I started giving them a set number, and they offered just about the same as the first!

You must want a lot of flowers! Definitely shop around! I wasn't too particular about what I wanted because flowers aren't a huge deal to me and I was pleasantly surprised with my quote from Pedestals. A lot of the girls got some outrageous quotes from them, but I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. Good luck!

I was going to go to Burtons until I went to Nikole's florist and they are doing personables and candle centerpieces for me for only 200 more than my budget for persoables alone.. Definitly shop around.. Can i ask what your quote is for exactly? The best this about Burtons is it is the same price for every flower.. not different depending.. Keep shopping for sure!

Ummm, def shop around, girl. I'm using flowers by brian (who have an excellent reputation) and I'm literally spending about 30% of that. granted, I only have 4 BMs and 1JR BM and ~12 guest tables, but $8G?! Too much

i was too but i booked black dahlia virtually on the spot because they were so affordable - check them out!
