First of all I want to thank you again to the LIW staff for providing such a wonderful outlet to brides to be. I miss my endless hours spent making friends and planning my wedding.

Second to all you girls on the 2011 board. We had some great times. It was a pleasure getting to know all of you! I hope everything in life is working out amazing for you!!!


Update- Nothing really new on my end. Moved out of my parents right after the wedding and are still in the same apartment. We adopted my SIL's cats and they have been my joy the last year. We put our baby making on hold for a little bit because of the job market. We are hoping in 2013 to finally start trying for a baby.

So thank you for the amazing journey we have all been on. I wish you all luck in life keep in touch!!!!

I can't believe our newly wed year is drawing to a close it seem like forever till my wedding day and now we have been married almost a year and a half. Not much on my end we are looking for a house, trying to start a family and we got a puggle named geppetto who is a hand full

I can't believe this board will be gone soon! I know I didn't post much, but I read it nearly everyday and it was so helpful when I was planning. All the ladies on this board were pretty awesome and I wish the best for you all in the future!

Update - DH and I are having a baby! The baby is due in July 2013

So sad to see this board go...it was really a huge help in planning my wedding! I also enjoyed seeing everyone else's weddings come together!!
UPDATE-My husband and I are both extremely busy with work and I started school in the spring....and we are expecting a baby in June 2013!!!

Wow! Cant believe so much time has passed by! I definitely loved this board and met some amazing girls here and made real friends and I am definitely thankful for that!!

Since the wedding, I passed the NY Bar, Got an adorable cavalier king charles puppy named Gatorade, and started a a home-based baking company called A Brownie Affair.

Right now I am looking for work as an Attorney and hoping that my baking company gets more customers! Hoping for kiddies soon too!

Holy moly, I can't believe this board is closing down. I remember when I started I had a countdown in the 500's and now we've been married for almost 600 days . Because of this site, I've made a few very good friends, and got great advice, so thank you LIW


Update- DH and I are both succeeding in our careers, and we started the process of looking for a house. We've been trying for a baby since the wedding, hit a few bumps along the way, and are now seeing an RE so we're crossing our fingers for a baby in 2013 .

I can't believe this board is going to be coming down! I met so many amazing ladies because of this site and I truly miss chatting with you all everyday! My wedding would not have been what it was with out you all to help me along the way!

Update: DH and I are still living in our co-op. We had to put our dog down in July but recently got a puppy named Milo! We went to Paris in September to celebrate our 1 year anniversary - it was amazing!!! Hoping to add some little ones to the Tarricone family in 2013

Hey ladies!!! This is def the end of one of the most amazing chapters of my life. I came late but caught up really quick. I have made some amazing friends!!!

Update: dh and I closed on our first home at the end of November. We have a little work to do but it is def out dream home :) no babies yet... But maybe in 2013 :) I miss you girls and the planning... Should I get married next year too??? Lol j/k

Unreal how it went from being on here every waking hour to not at all - and now the board will soon come to an end?!?! It was a great ride - so many great conversations, advice, people and it's great to hear all the updates.

I hope all the 2011 brides are happy and enjoying life!! All the best to everyone in 2013!

Updated: Mike and I are doing fantastic! We are still renting but have been house hunting for a while and looking to be settled in a home by the end of this summer. I started a new job on the island, so no more commuting and it's really helped in saving money for a house and our relationship. No little one's yet but we are close to adopting a dog. Also, DH's health has been great and he started teaching a new grade level this year so things are definitely great

First off, I'd like to thank LIW and all the ladies on here. It was a place to laugh, cry, vent, and just be our goofy selves! This place attracts some of the most amazing women that I will ever have the pleasure of 'knowing' (some more so than others). It will always hold a special place in my memories. I'm glad that we still have facebook to keep in touch with!

UPDATE: Nothing really new here since the wedding. We went to NOLA for our first anniversary...what an awesome place! No babies yet, but our parents are definitely hinting that they are ready for grandchildren! With all the new regulations in education, work is insance. And, after closing his performance shop, Brian got a job working at a generator company and it was his 'turn' to be on 2 week, 24/7 emergency call starting on Halloween...well, needless to say after the hurricane, he was getting calls all hours of the night so to say that we've been busy is an understatement!

That's the scoop here! Please keep in contact...even if we've never met, I feel like I know so many of you through your posts, your pictures, and your stories!

It is seriously crazy that so much time has passed. I used to be on these boards every day!

Update:

Not too much has changed for me and DH. We are still in the same apartment we were in prior to the wedding. We are currently saving for a house and think we should be ready to start looking in early 2015. No babies yet. We'd like to get the house first, but we'll see. As they say, life is what happens while you are making other plans!

I was just thinking that it is so sad that I used to be on this website literally all the time, and now, i'm lucky if i remember to log on once a month. LIF has definately become my new addiction since the wedding and I wish more of the 2011 brides would have made the transition over!
Because of my work schedule, I only met some of you, fleetingly, at the TWOTY 2011 and wish I could have gotten to know some of you more personally, as opposed to just through Facebook, but with my work schedule - its was hard =0(

Update: since the wedding, DH and I are expecting our first baby! A little girl, due in February! We can't wait to meet her and are so excited for her arrival. Our every waking moment has recently been consumed with getting the nursery ready and getting all of her things prepared for when she finally makes her grand entrance.
We decided that I will stop working once she is born so that I can stay home and take care of her for ahwile. DH is doing well and his job, thankfully remains stable.

I can't believe it has been this long! This site is GREAT!!! I had so much fun chatting with everyone on here, and getting such great ideas for my wedding. Met some new people, made some lifelong friends along the way.

update - we are still living in teh same house we bought in 2008. We adopted a puppy named Bailey. She is a handful but we love her SO much. She’s great. We are planning on adding to the family in the form of a baby (no more puppies!) in 2013 sometime lol

I have really fond memories of my engagement because of this site! Everyday u girls made me laugh and I loved getting to meet some of you and I wish I had gotten the chance to meet more of you.

I am so happy to read that my 2011 brides are happy wives and soon to be wonderful mothers!! As most of you know, I had my beautiful baby girl in April and she is almost 9 months old already! She is the most amazing, silly, squishiest love bug ever and Dh and I are completely enamored with her. I also recently started a new job which will allow me more time with her and for that I am grateful.

Other than that Dh and I are working on our house and trying to find the balance between work, family and friends but enjoying our time together. Time goes by SO fast it's scary.

Love you girls. Thank you for the sextions, the advice, the encouragement, jokes and laughter. I am on lif and Facebook!

I cannot believe it is our time to say 'goodbye'. so many wonderful memories on this site - i honestly and truly cannot thank you girls enough for all the advice and support you gave me during the wedding planning process.

i've made some great friends - who i continue to stalk on facebook - i hope to keep in touch with you all and honestly, any time i see a facebook status about one of my fellow LIW'ers getting pregnant, or celebrating something big, it reminds me that we all were part of this exclusive little 'club' planning our weddings together and it really was one wonderful day after another. i spent my entire third year of law school on this site (more than i was studying or paying attention in class) and it's sad for me to think that soon our board will be taken down.

that being said, just wanted to send you all a big THANK YOU - from the bottom of my heart. i wish you all the best, always!


Update: DH and I moved into our house we bought earlier in 2011 immediately after the wedding, had an amazing 15 day honeymoon, and have been working hard ever since. we renovated our basement making a home recording studio and have clients come in all the time for extra money. we both started new jobs since the wedding and quickly learned how to become homeowners no babies or fur-babies in the mix just yet - just trying to catch our breath for a bit. i can't even keep plants alive! though there is a lot of baby fever around these parts!

hurricane sandy kind of spoiled our wedding anniversary and our plan to go to cape may, but we made the best of it in our house with no power for 12 days! yikes! happy and healthy and that's all that matters.

Hard to see this board come to an end. So glad to read everyone's updates.

DH and I closed on our house in June. In August he finally landed a day job in his field which is an amazing change from him working overnights. We are finally on the same schedule and it has done so much for our relationship. We are starting to think about having a baby. All in all life is great!

I started a new job in April doing HR.

We moved into my in laws to save some money, and a few weeks later I found out I'm pregnant! It was a great surprise and I'm due in July!

I miss you ladies and this website so much but it is amazing to see the progress we are all making in our marriages and lives!
