Oh my goodness.. I worked on our guest list today. Both FH and I come from fairly large families. In my head, I figured we would invite about 225 or so. My FH figured we would invite in the 245 range. We guaranteed 180 and our RH holds 350....Well I started to finalize the guest list and there is nearly 280 people on it!!!!!! And FH hasn't even looked it over to make sure all his cousins are on it. (He has almost 100 cousins). UGH!!!

wow.. what if you stick to just 1st couins?

Believe it or not.. that is 1st cousins.. His mom and dad were both from large families. Each of his aunts and uncles had 3 or more children.. Crazy.. but my side is not any better... lots of good friends.. This is not going to be easy.

WOW!! That is alot of people! I think we are looking to invite 225. What about limiting the ages? 1st cousins 18 and over?

I was going to suggest that too and also id coworkers are a part of this list, maybe try to eliminate them all together

A lot of my 1st cousins are older with lots of children. I'm only inviting the adults, otherwise it would be out of control.

my fh comes from a HUGE european family and his guest list was orinially 435 (just his side), this was before we found a hall. Now we HAD to cut it down ALOT so we are having close to 300 total. Craziness!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally feel your pain right now we are up to 290 and that is not including everyone. Definitley sit down with FH and FMIL and decide who you can cut from the list. FH and I have decided that no matter what we are not having any more than 225 no matter what.

Wow, that is crazy!!! We are going to cut pple out on our list. Fh family has more than my family , since my parents are paying its only fair. Unless, his parents wants to pay for the extra pple. Which i don't think they will do.

I have a LOT of cousins too. My dad is 1 of 12, and my parents are divorced so I have cousins all over the place.
They are not all invited. I couldn't. I am inviting the ones who I am close to. I have cousins I don't even know! FH and I are paying for this ourselves, and we just can't do it!
It's not an easy decision to make but it had to be made... Good luck!!
