There are so many great deals to be had. Try Hawaii. I heard there were flights for $399 per person round trip!

Re: OUR HM
I highly recommend Belize but you will not be able to stay in an all-inclusive. I have to say though that all our meals, drinks and excursions came out to much less that what I thought and our whole trip for 10 days seems to be less than what alot of people are posting what they are spending. We even did a scuba trip that cost $500 and its included in our total.

hey, i know you were asking for some other advice, i just though i'd share this
on May 15th the CDC lifted the non-essential travel recommendation
its very telling that the media would not leave the story alone when it was a 'pandemic', and now there hasn't been a word about the improving conditions according to the CDC.
here is the text from the CDC Travel Website.
CDC’s Travel Health Warning recommending against non-essential travel to Mexico, in effect since April 27, 2009, has now been downgraded to a Travel Health Precaution for Mexico.
Current Situation CDC has been monitoring the ongoing outbreak of novel H1N1 flu in Mexico and, with the assistance of the Mexican authorities, has obtained a more complete picture of the outbreak. There is evidence that the Mexican outbreak is slowing down in many cities though not all. In addition, the United States and other countries are now seeing increasing numbers of cases not associated with travel to Mexico. Finally, the risk of severe disease from novel H1N1 virus infection now appears to be less than originally thought.
CDC Recommendations At this time, CDC has removed its recommendation that U.S. travelers avoid travel to Mexico.
good luck!!
I'm gonna bump this up because it's important for people to know the facts. Swine flu is spreading here as well! You're not hiding in your house right? It's the flu and it appears to be no more fatal then the flu that comes around every year. Go to Mexico. Enjoy your honeymoon. Stressing makes you more prone to illness anyway.

Hi Ladies,
Well the swine flu is spreading in Mexico My father called his travel agent who said its getting worse there not better, and that he would definitly not advise going. So we have to change our honeymoon, with only 7 weeks til the wedding.....
We need ideas!!! Where can we go?! We are trying not to spend too much, and go to an all inclusive resort....do you ladies have any advice? PLEASE!
TIA
hey date twin! we are moving from mexico too ... and i was looking at sandals in antigua ... SOOOO expensive ... well i guess because what we were getting in mexico we cant get anywhere else ... we dont know where we are going but i wanted to tell you we got great prices for the occidental in aruba ... check it out! ill let you know what we decide!
PS - the only reason why we are switching is because FH thinks we are either going to die from the flu or from a drug lord ... whatever! he really feels like God is telling us not to go ...

Re: OUR HM
thats wierd he said that because i got this off the CDC website:
Mexico- H1N1 Influenza Travel Alert No Longer in Effect
May 15, 2009
The Department of State wishes to inform U.S. citizens traveling to and residing in Mexico that on May 15 2009, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lifted its recommendation that American citizens avoid all nonessential travel to Mexico. As a result of the CDC's decision, the State Department's Travel Alert relating to the 2009-H1N1 influenza outbreak is no longer in effect.
