Well the swine flu is spreading in Mexico My father called his travel agent who said its getting worse there not better, and that he would definitly not advise going. So we have to change our honeymoon, with only 7 weeks til the wedding.....
We need ideas!!! Where can we go?! We are trying not to spend too much, and go to an all inclusive resort....do you ladies have any advice? PLEASE!

or I keep on reading good things about Riu resorts, not sure if they are all inclusive or not

Would you be up for a cruise?? We went on a caribbean cruise for the HM & had a blast..it was our first cruise so it was special that our first cruise was our honeymoon...

We are still kicking around the idea of Sandals Antigua, or Riu or Occidental in Aruba. Depending on the room level, got prices for around 3500-5200 for 6 nights/7 days (albeit December).

Yes we would def consider Aruba or antigua. We have heard mixed reviews about sandals, but would consider it at this point!!! Cruise: prob not, FH gets claustrophobic and being on a boat that long may not be good for him!!!

this isnt a bad thing.. you will get killer last minute deals!!! Check out cruises... they will be cheaper the later you book becuase they want to fill up the ship ... we are taking a cruise to St. Criox, St. Marteen, Atingua, Barabados and St. Lucia!

hey, i know you were asking for some other advice, i just though i'd share this
on May 15th the CDC lifted the non-essential travel recommendation
its very telling that the media would not leave the story alone when it was a 'pandemic', and now there hasn't been a word about the improving conditions according to the CDC.
here is the text from the CDC Travel Website.
CDC’s Travel Health Warning recommending against non-essential travel to Mexico, in effect since April 27, 2009, has now been downgraded to a Travel Health Precaution for Mexico.
Current Situation CDC has been monitoring the ongoing outbreak of novel H1N1 flu in Mexico and, with the assistance of the Mexican authorities, has obtained a more complete picture of the outbreak. There is evidence that the Mexican outbreak is slowing down in many cities though not all. In addition, the United States and other countries are now seeing increasing numbers of cases not associated with travel to Mexico. Finally, the risk of severe disease from novel H1N1 virus infection now appears to be less than originally thought.
CDC Recommendations At this time, CDC has removed its recommendation that U.S. travelers avoid travel to Mexico.

my sister did Sandels Antigua and loved it. My best friend just went in Feb and they just redid the entire place and it is brand new!!

i would def. reccomend paradisus resorts a lot of my friends and fam went to costa rica and punta canta and had a great time
We had to change our HM too With only 20 days to the wedding so dont worry you have plenty of time. We are going to Sandals St Lucia

Definitely check out Aruba! It's where Ally (Pandafish) just went, too instead of Mexico. We're going to the Occidental Grand Aruba which is a beautiful all-inclusive hotel.

I would have to disagree. We are going to Mexico for our honeymoon leaving May 26th and we are confident everything is fine. We have spoken to people at the resort and everything seems ok. I guess it depends where you were planning on going but we are going to the Riviera Maya area and we're not so worried.

I certainly recommend Aruba-Riu Palace or the Occidental there are great...
Also Dominican Rep. has a bunch of great all inclusives as well.
