Our Honeymoon Cruise

Our Honeymoon Cruise

Well we flew Jetblue and always love that airline. They have roomy seats and the little tv's make the flight fly by. We stayed at the Marriott in the Tampa airport for 1 night and it was wonderful! We slept so well and the rooms are very nice and clean. The next day we started to board the Carnival Cruise Ship Sensation for our 7 day cruise. Since we had booked a suite we didn't have to wait to board with the other guests, we walked right on the ship. Our room was very spacious with a balcony and bar. It did need some updating but it was fine. The ship was nice and the food was good. We went to Grand Cayman on the first stop and did the Stingray City and Island tour. It went to the town of Hell ( not much to see) and the turtle farm and Tortuga Rum factory. We swam with the sting rays and that was great. The water was very blue and beautiful. The next stop was Cozemul Mexico were we went to Play del Carmen to see the Tulum ruins. It was a very long, hot day but the ruins were amazing. There is also a very small beach that you can swim at (clear water and amazing!). The next stop was New Orleans. There we went on the City bus tour. THe guide was very good and we saw the cemetary and alot of the city's mansions. We really enjoyed the tour and had time after to walk around on our own. We went to NOLA resturaunt (Emeril owns it and it is casual dress) and the food was awesome! There is also a Harrah's close (walking distance) by for a little gambling. We definitly would like to go back to visit because there is alot of museums to see and shopping. The ship had alot of different kinds of entertainment for everyone and was very nice. THe second week we went to Long Boat Key in Florida for a week at the beach (parents own a condo). It was very nice to just relax and soak up the sun. We did a little shopping and cruise around in our convertible (rented it from Dollar:)The honeymoon was great and as everyone else will see you definitly will need it. Good luck to all and enjoy those weddings!!!

Re: Our Honeymoon Cruise

How was Carnival for a honeymoon cruise. I've heard it has a 'spring break' feel to it, with tons of partying. A travel agent at liberty travel recommended Royal Carribean for a honeymoon. We, too, are considering a cruise for our honeymoon, as neither my FI or I have ever been on a cruise.

Thanks!
