Our Horrible Limousine experience last night w/ Ultimate Class

Original post by mv1003

I wanted to post how another bride to be from LIW and I went to Ultimate Class last night as we're investigating limos. We had never been treated with such unprofessionalism before EVER! I am calling the woman's boss today to tell them what a waste of our time it was to go out to see them!!!!

I will say, we were late, as we couldn't find the place. We did call from the road though, and say we were in traffic (coming from Manhattan), and we called again, when we couldn't find it. As we walked through the front door, the woman's first words to us were 'You're an hour late!' With a rude and obnoxious tone. I kindly replied, actually, we're only a 1/2 hour late (40 mins) and when we called you said it was no problem. We proceed to her office where she tells us that she doesn't see 2 people at the same time. When I booked the appointments- I asked if we could go together as we're from the city, and every place else has been accommodating!
When we sat down, she changed her tune, and decided that we needed to know her life story of how she just got engaged and they're throwing an engagement party and her FH wants to build a $4K deck on his house etc... blah blah blah- Can we talk about limos already?
Anyway- I'm a Crest Hollow bride and she informed me that they're a house vendor for the CC. When she was giving prices, I asked what it meant to me that they were the house vendor. With the other Bride sitting there, she looked at me and stated 'that means we send you the good drivers.' I was BEYOND P*SSED!!!!
I told her kindly, that I would hope that no matter where the reception was, I'd hope that Ultimate Class would send their best drivers!!!!! What the h*ll does that mean, the good drivers? As opposed to the crappy ones everyone else gets? There is also a 3rd bride to be who couldn't make it with us, and she couldn't remember the name of the girl when we had told her about 9 times already. Here's a thought- if you want her business- write her name down!!!!!

I really wanted to post our experience as it was disgusting to us.

We had gone to another company where the woman came in on HER DAY OFF just to meet with us b/c the weekends are easier! She offered us great deals BECAUSE we were together and from LIW!!!!!!!!

I know a lot of you are thinking of U. C. and I'm not saying they're vehicles are ugly or trying to say they're not a reputable company. I'm saying my experience with them was less than classy! I just felt that they didn't care for our business at all. So, they will not get it.

Sorry you had this experience. I used to deal with UC through my job...and after one unprofessional experience in particular (there were a few), I stopped using them. Matt may be nice, but the people who work for him, are anything but.

That's horrible that they say the places they are the house vendors to will get the 'good drivers' What does everyone else get crap??? I would definately call to complain.

I am the third bride who could not make the appt with the other two and frankly, am glad I didn't go last night. Who needs the stress? I spoke to UC on the phone and they were unaccomodating and unfriendly when I asked for a weekend appointment, which was far more convenient for me. Further, they would not quote me over the phone, which irritated me, as a busy gal without a car who lives in Queens.

I will say that I have decided to go with the place we saw where the woman who came in on her day off, sat with us for over an hour, made a point to remember all of our names and wedding dates and halls and who gave us a great deal. For all of you vendors out there reading this, let me remind you that service is your business. Without it, you've got nothing.

Yikes! That's horrible! I'm using Cruise Control in Lindenhurst. So far they have been wonderful!! You might want to check them out. Very nice and patient. Gave us a break too, so they're flexible.

I spoke with Dawn when I went there and had a horrible experience also. They have great cars, but she must have said 'we don't need to do that because we have so much business' about 6 times. Needless to say we did not book with them because they are obviously sooo great and busy that they don't need to be nice to get business. And their prices are outrageous and they refused to give us a ride back home after the reception, stating once again that 'they don't need to do that'. Ugh!

wow! i must say that i'm shocked you had such a bad experience! we loved them! we had a very pleasant appointment on a weekend afternoon (since we had to drive in from jersey) & they were very accomodating & professional. in fact, we booked them on the spot & met with no other limo companies- we were that impressed. i hope you called to complain about the way you were treated. especially after you hiked all the way there from the city!

I called up the first place and spoke to the woman's boss! I told him how great she was! Glad I can do something nice, after that experience last night.
Can't say the same for her. Her boss, will get a phone call when he's back in the office tomorrow.
She doesn't need our business b/c they do a lot of foundations! He's so popular and busy... good, 3 less weddings to do

Re: Our Horrible Limousine experience last night w/ Ultimate Class

I am the other bride who was with mv1003 last night. I have never been treated so rudely by a vendor in my entire life. Yes, we were late but **it happens and you need to roll with it. Mind you we were booked for 2 hours form 7 to 9 so we weren’t causing any inconvenience for customers she may have had after us. Her issue about seeing us together – what is that about? Why would you want to say the same thing twice? It leads you to assume she might have quoted different prices and that would make you feel a sense of dishonesty. I don’t think that is what the owners would like portrayed. Their cars were very nice but they should be considering their prices are much higher then others. For all those using UC, I’m sure you will have a great experience but I am not choosing to give my money to a place that treated us as though they didn’t need our business. For the vendor who came in on a Saturday (she knows who she is) that is real customer service. I’m sure I will end up going with that vendor and I will be sure to let her boss know that he received the business of not only one but three customers all due to his rep willing to make the extra effort.

Re: Our Horrible Limousine experience last night w/ Ultimate Class

Sorry for the horrible experience at your appt. with them. Mat is great, he's the owner and I'd remember 2 ladys working there in the office as they were not people friendly.

DH and I used Ultimate Class for our wedding day transportation including our OOT guest transportation. They were very prompt, courteous, professional all the way. We also got a 32 passenger limo bus for our OOT guests to take them from our Manhattan ceremony to our Queens reception which was also the same promptness and professionalism. Our guests were mesmerized by the luxury and service provided. We didn't have any problems with them.

There's probably a million limo companies out there that much reasonable in price. It seems from your experience they're so great and 'we don't need that' that you don't need them and take your business elsewhere. They're loss.

So sorry,

They picked us up at the train station for the GTG at Papa Joes and we had no complaints they were excellent. Its your money and you have a right to take your business elsewhere, but before you do, let them know.

Re: Our Horrible Limousine experience last night-**Update w/ some good news!!! w/ Ultimate Class

I just wanted to let you all know that Matt from Ultimate Class called me today. I am very impressed that he called me after reading this post to apologize for his employee's behavior.
I really appreciate that, and do find it 'classy', no pun intended.
