Our kids

OK. so I'm in a sappy mood, but aren't kids the best??
I have a 5 year old son, who has turned my world into such a better place. Time is going by so fast, he'll be starting kindergarten in September, and I cry every time I think about his Pre-K graduation.
I just want to say to all of you who are pregnant, or have infants and toddlers, if you think it's great now, just wait. Every day gets better. I am amazed watching my son grow everyday, and we have such a special relationship. He tells me he loves me at least 10 times a day, we crack eachother up, we dance around like idiots to our favorite songs, he asks me about my day, and all of these little things mean SO much when they're coming from someone that was once inside you, that you have made into the little person that they are.
Sorry if I'm boring you...just had to gush

Re: Our kids

hey stacey.. WE LOVEEEEE these types of posts !!!
(ME ESPECIALLY !!!)

That is sooooooo adorable that he tells you he loves you all day... Im sure you melt every time!
Kids truly are amazing. My son is 6months old. I can stare at him all day long, laugh with him and roll all over the floor with him like nothing else matters in the world (what DOES matter when youre with them?????) He's now @ his grandma's (my MIL)'s house since she's off from work, I knew she'd be in heaven having her first grandchild, (son of her only child)...so she is in HEAVEN, she plans to take him for walks, shop around, and show him off to the whole neighborhood... I missed him the minute I left her house last night and I cant wait till tomorrow to see his little face and BIG smile again... But I grew up with grandparents and I cherish the moments I had with them, and I think its great that my son (for now!) doesnt complain or cry when left with other family members.. (well they say that starts @7-8months--the crying and separation anxiety from mommy)...
As much as I miss him, I feel so great that he is having precious bonding time with grandma, and I do the same with my own parents.........

MY nieces and nephew are ages 1,2 and 4, and they are amazing as well... oh I can tell stories every hour about the things they say.........

Keep sharing, we love to hear these stories !!!!
(and then i usually ramble on and on forever )

Hugs to your little cutie pie !!

Re: Our kids

My son as well has a close relationship with my mom. Your son will be so comfortable there that maybe he wont go through the seperation anxiety since he'll be used to your MIL.
Just enjoy every moment. It can be (very!) trying at times, but I know it'll be worth all the hard work!

2nd-time-around - your post gave me tears in my eyes and chills in my body. Everyday I get to spend with Justin is a blessing. I cherish every single moment. And to know that things will get even better as he gets older makes me melt. Please keep your stories coming.

Anna - Justin never had separation anxiety from either me or Nick. He is such a fun-loving child he loves to spend itme with his grandparents and his great grandparents!!!!

keep these stories coming

esp for us new mommies....
I am working from home today- which means I am soo surprised I can even have time to post here,,

J is going through some bad days - constantly filled with gas- and Ive kept away from those 'bad' foods- so she is very cranky and crying. I caught myself wishing I was in the office!!! then I said a quick prayer to take it back.
Guess cuz I know WHAT to do in the office- and being a mom is NEW to me. I just hope every single day that I am doing right by her.

Any of you experience these 2nd thoughts??? I;d esp like to hear from moms who work out of home.

Let me know if I am bonkers or not

Re: Our kids

I should tell you a cute story about this picture. It was taken last August, on my 30th birthday.
My mom had told my son that she' take him shopping to pick out a special present for me, so about a month before my birthday, she asked him what he wanted to get me. He said 'an angel', so my mom asked him why an angel, and he said 'because Mommy is my angel'. She waited another couple of weeks ( I think hoping he'd forget about the angel and say he wanted to get me diamonds or something!)and asked him again, and again he said 'an angel because Mommy is my angel'. So...the angel that I'm holding was my birthday present from him, and by far the best present I've ever received!!!
