We have been in our house less than a week and I told DH this morning that I think we have a ghost....because my thoothbrush is missing, I used yesterday morning and last night it was gone (out of the cabinet) and the comb I use on my wet hair is gone, I used it on Monday, and it is now gone, it was missing on Tuesday. Strange! Can't find the comb ANYWHERE! I have had the comb for about 10 years!

I believe in orbs...in fact I was looking at Julz's pictures of her new remodeling at her house and there are a TON of orbs in most of her pictures. I have pictures of orbs when I was in Salem, MA and they are the same shape and color.
I would take pictures of the house too and see if anything comes up....you never know...
I saw those too but I didnt want to say anything. The orbs in Julz pictures could also be dust or dirt on the lens...Since her hubby is working on the place...I am sure there is dust and dirt all over. Scott

Okay after my Mom passed away the radio in the kitchen would go on and it was not plugged in, then my water globe would spin and music would come on. I was so freaked after awhile I took that particular radio out of the kitchen then put it back many years later, and when my Dad passed the same weird thing happened. I can go on and on... I hope no one things I am strange, I am glad someone is willing to listen , If I told my ister she would FREAK. At least I know my Mom and dad are harmless, but it is freaky. I am glad nothing has happened in a long time.

i noticed the same thing. they are not in all the pics, so i doubt it was the lens.

My house has ghosts, I live with my parents, and before that my grandparents owned the house. 3 people have died in the house. When we first moved back to NY (DH and I) we were not married yet, and had to sleep in diff bedrooms, the first 3 times I snuck into DH's room, and things were about to go down, the light would turn on. It did not happen any other time. I swear it was my grandfather.

One day I discovered that one of the closets had been COVERED with crayon drawings, sayings, etc. like a child had been locked in there frequently. It was the foyer closet. I decided to paint it because the drawings/sayings were disturbing to me. As I painted it, I kept hearing a 'knock' at the front door. I kept checking and there was NO ONE there. I know it wasn't something like a ring and run, because I was looking straight at the door one time when it happend and it had a glass opening on it and NO ONE was there. I freaked out and left.
!!!
I can't even handle reading this!!!!! I would have died.

When I was young, and we had moved into our new house, i remember the current/previous owner telling my mom he tought his dead wife was still 'in the house'....as a 8 yr old I was evesdropping on this conversation, well, one night i heard the kitchen cabinets slamming shut (opening and slamming closed), i ran from my room to my parent's room telling my dad, and i made him go downstairs to find the ghost, and then he carried me downstairs to check it all out, of course I just knew that this was real, still do- even though all was fine in the kitchen. There were bullet holes (small holes) in the wall over the staircase b/c the previous owner tried shooting the ghost away. I'll never forget that night and I still talk to my dad about it, 30something years later!

We bought our house in June. The man who lived here before was quite eccentric. He passed away...not in the house though. But he was a little off balance.
Well, a few months ago, my DH went out to the store and about 30 min later I was in the basement doing laundry. I heard 5 distinct heavy men's footsteps walk across the floor and the cat made a weird noise and took off running. I froze. I walked over to the window to see if my DH came home but he hadn't. They were like 5 steps and then nothing. I took a weapon (like a broom or something) and went upstairs. Nothing was there. I was terrified. I even called my DH to see if he came in and didnt tell me but he didnt.
A few weeks later I am in the kitchen and out of the corner of my eye, I see a man walking through my dining room. I said to my DH 'Stop fooling around'. I thought he was playing tricks on me and was going to jump out and scare me. He yells out to me (from the TV room which is on the opposite side of the house) 'Who are you talking to?' I walked into the TV room and said 'Werent you just in the dining room?' He said no i was in here watching TV. And I know it couldnt have been him because how would he get to the other room so fast.
Those are the only things ( so far and the last i hope!) that have happened. And I never felt like it was threatening.....just creepy. Here's a pic of the 'haunted ' dining room LOL. As you can see I was in the kitchen and saw the man through the door way out of the corner of my eye.
i beleive in spirits but most of the time i think there harmless souls that didnt have closure before they passed away

Has anyone experienced 'being watched over by angels or others'?
YEARS ago I was driving to work in Hauppauge via 347 and at the 347/Motor Pkwy merge -going West before the Courts, I literally slowed from about 50 to almost completely stopped--and I did this for no apparent reason, which was bizarre. As I did this an accident came across my path before me from the merging lanes (i was in the far right lane)...if i hadn't slowed/stopped I would have been hit on the drivers side. It was sooo bizarre and I swear I was being watched over and being taken care of.
Another time, as a child, my mom was taking my siblings and me to Wisconsin for christmas to visit my relatives...it was snowing and we missed our flight and had to take another flight, our original flight crashed. bizzare....
