Ok ladies, let's put together our next GTG! I know we had briefly discussed doing something at a local park (Eisenhower for example) where everyone can mix and mingle.
Thoughts? I am going to post a poll for the date separately, but want to know if everyone is interested in a park picnic or would prefer something else.
I am excited to see everyone again!

Re: Our Next 2012 GTG!
lets go shopping!
Lol can you tell what my favorite thing to do is? haha
A park could be fun - but then you have to depend on mother nature to pull through and have a back up plan.

Yes, weather would be a factor but we could always do Mara's as a backup plan (she offered her house anytime, which is great!)
Fall at a park could be really nice. Shopping would be hard with 10-20 people, but you knew that. lol

I like the idea of doing it in a park. Only thing to consider in the park is I believe that you have to have permits unless we want to do just a picnic or something like that.
But like Melissa said..... my house is always open to you girls for a G2G!

Re: Our Next 2012 GTG!
I cant say I have ever arranged a park GTG, family or friend related. Can't we just reserve a table near one of those bbq pits? I always thought people just went early to reserve it and that was it. Curious......

I have planned a bar b que at Eisenhower park for my firm and we needed a permit. But then again it was for 100 people so that may be the reason why!

What about a beach g2g instead? Our last one never happened and you don't need permits for the beach
Cedar Beach (off of Ocean Pkwy) has an area with picnic tables & a full bar (with bartender) and food.

You have to be a Babylon Town Resident w permit on the car window to do Cedar, or Overlook, or Gilgo. I dont know what date that ends for the season, but if you dont have a permit in the summer, it's like $35 per car to enter.
I could do park or beach, but by Sept/Oct not sure it's 'beach' weather.

I love this idea. Maybe we can do the 2012 bridal shower as a wine tour?
What do people think about that?

You actually don't have to be a resident to go to Cedar (we live in Westchester and go almost every weekend). It's $25/car on weekends and cheaper during the week. After peak season ends, it's actually free to enter. We usually still have warmer weather in September and the beginning of October.

Interesting, and different than the beach next door (Overlook). I saved some poor tourists recently that were about to go there and pay $35 for their car full and sent them over to Robert Moses instead. lol

This is a fun idea! We did a wine tour (14 of us in big Expedition Limo) for my 30th bday. Only thing is the price may scare some girls off. Back then (stone ages. lol jk) it was $111 per head including lunch. It was a delicious boxed lunch, and the fees at each tasting location were included, as well as the limo driver's tip. Just throwing it out there so we are on same page w regard to cost.

Yup, we've been going there for years. It's a Babylon beach but open to the public

Are we set on doing something outside?
I really want to have a 'big girl tea party' haha
Maybe find a cute tea room and we can all dress up and get tea and sandwiches
