OUR POOR PUPPY ***UPDATED HE IS BETTER WITH PICS****

Awwe poor puppy!! I have an italian greyhound too and this is my worst fear. They have such long boney little legs.



This is my baby Bastian.

FH sister has one too and he broke his leg very badly one day while playing on the deck. They think he was running after our pup and he got his leg/nail caught in a board on the leg and since he was at full speed the leg just snapped. They actually had to do surgery and put pins in it to set it. Poor pup had to be kept calm for 3 months, not easy for a 5 month old puppy. They got a port-a-crib for him and laid a baby gate on top to trap him in so he could come out of his crate. It took a bit to heal but hes ok now. The silly thing was after his surgery they wrapped his leg in a big purple cast.. about a week later FH sister broke her ankle and was also laid up in a big purple cast.. the pictures are priceless.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL GREYHOUND!!!!!! and such a great name!!! It was such a fluke accident. Maximus just landed the wrong way and FH said it snapped.

I hope your sisters pup is doing well!!! I bet those pics are great!

The vet warned us this could be an issue with him ( and any greyhound) but she said it is just the nature of the breed, she actually has 2 herself. Apparently it is common in poodles also.

I knooooooooow Christina Its craaaaaaaaazy...Juan and I are like did this wedding really happen???!!! It went SO fast but it was good!!

Poor Maximus......Juan still talk about how he loves that name for a dog!! How is your Bassett Hound?!?! Im still jealous!!! lol

Just looked at your pics!! amazing!!! The basset hound is good, I posted a picture of her on the first page....couldnt let her get jealous...LOL.

I totally forgot we got Maximus the first night of pre cana!!!

Our IG is kinda on the big side so i hope his bones are stronger. Hes also a bit fat now (he was normal weight in the pic), FH mom likes to stuff him.. After the wedding its diet time for lil Bastian. Hopefully your little guy makes a speedy recovery and it never happens again. The vet that treated Fh sisters IG recommended calcium supplements. Im not sure if that will work though.

My daughter was put in a cast this week also, another broken finger.
Hopefully he won't out grow it, since he is a pup and will be a big dog. My dog was about 8 wks when he broke it the first time and had to have 2 casts. Good luck.

he is doing much better and his cast is off....he is getting back to his old self running around like a maniac.
