Our Saturday with the PUPPIES!! UPDATED WITH PICTURES!!
Alas, no pics yet! We took about 20 but haven't had a chance to get them on the PC yet - so this will be updated!!!
So here's our Saturday with the Rotties :)
Driving out to MA was awesome! It was a beautiful drive, no traffic, and DH and I were in such a great mood since we were about to see our puppy! We left our house at 6:30 and we were up there a little after 10 - after stopping twice for coffee, of course! What can I say, we really lucked out and found a wonderful breeder! From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated as old friends, his wife even made cake for us! I was in love right there
First we met the BIG dogs - they have their own seperate kennel since there's about 8 of them!! WOW, I was just so struck with them as soon as he let the first guy out. He was 6 mos and a complete lovey!!!
We got to play with all of the dogs for a little bit, then we met Juri - our puppy's dad! HOLY COW, he's a big boy!!!! What a beautful dog though, 110 pounds of sheer love and I was just in complete awe watching this dog - they are so regal and have such beautiful personalities! I loved that we were able to meet all the dogs too - it was really nice of our breeder to take so much time and care with us on our visit!
Now what you all want to hear about - MEETING THE PUPPIES!!! Let me just say, if I wasn't already head over heels in love from the pictures - I was COMPLETELY SMITTEN once we met them in person! Words cannot describe how wonderfully adorable and lovely these little pups were!!!! Craig and I each got to hold the pups for a while, and we think we might have already found our puppy! When Craig was holding one of the pups, all of a sudden, he throws his little head back and lets out this baby wolf howl!!! We were cracking up bc it was the most pitifully cute sounds we've ever heard! Then he fell asleep in Craig's arms! The breeder was like 'wow, I've never seen them do that before!' They were just really so cute, I didn't want to leave! We ended up staying there all afternoon, didn't leave until 1!! What a nice family though - they have two little kids, and they are all so comfortable around the dogs - it was nice to see that too, puts you at ease to see a 100 pound dog 'herding' a 2 year old little girl :)
So, we are very happy that we're getting a dog from such a loving breeder and I wish we could have stayed all day with those pups!!! We will be picking up our baby the last week of October - 10/29, first thing in the morning. OMG, I'm just so excited, it's only a few more weeks until this little bundle of fluff will be our dog! Thanks for reading along - I PROMISE to post pics ASAP!!!
