I havent even asked yet. I can only imagine.
Me too. I thought it was around $900, but I hope that I am wrong. For some reason I remember my brother's 'donation' being that much, and we are getting married in the same Church.

Re: Our Suggested Church Donation...is this right?
I would definitely go with $500...its just a safe number
ETA: Most churches state their 'suggested donation'...if yours didnt, then use your discretion Chris...but your church is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, therefore, I would go with $500, just so that they maintain the upkeep...

Aww...thanks booba. I spoke to the priest last night, he confirmed the following:
donation to the church $300 donation to the priest (tip) $whatever we want - probably give $150 organist $100

Re: Our Suggested Church Donation...is this right?
600 or 700 for us
don't even get me started!!!!
ETA: i have to say FH made me laugh b/c we were walking out of the church after he TOLD us what our 'donation' would be and that there was no difference between parishioners and non-parishioners (i have been one all my life). so we were leaving and i said to FH, 600 or 700??!! i mean, that sounds like an awfully big donation-- FH goes, donation my A$$, did you see that gold watch on the priest's wrist?? that was cartier!! that's our DONATION!!

Re: Our Suggested Church Donation...is this right?
Ours is $500.
From what we were told the 'donation' is supposed to pay for their help and time during preparation (i.e. initial interview, phone calls, etcl), lights, AC or heat (if applicable) and other church expenses during your time there, that includes the rehearsal. Just thought I'd share since we asked our Deacon!!!
