Our Weekend Getaway from LIW
First, I'd like to thank Ron, Liz Maria and Kim for the wonderful gift, a weekend getaway to Homewood Suites. We were totally surprise when Ron presented it to us at the WOTY.
Some of you may know my story. On July 6, 2006, four days before my 44th b-day, two months before my wedding, I was diagnosed with Cancer.
I thought my world was over. Here I am planning my wedding and now this.
My doctors were great (I love each and everyone doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center) and with the help from my family and friends, I was able to have the wedding of my dreams. They only problem was, we were unable to have a honeymoon because of my illness.
When I saw the contest for the WOTY, I was hoping to be picked as the bride (I love you Melisssa (Preshy7) you made a beautiful bride) but I wanted to do the whole wedding thing again without the worry of Cancer over my head.
(by the time of the WOTY, I'd had my first scan and everything came back fine) but being picked as a BM was just as good.
The gift was given to us back in January, but we had to wait until I got the OK from my doctors.
We stayed at the Homewood Suites in Plainview, LI
We had flowers and chocolate (Godiva) waiting for us in our room
We also received dinner at the famous Blackstone Steakhouse in Melville LI. The food was out of this world.
Along with that, we received a limo ride from our hotel to the Steakhouse and back to the hotel.
Joe, from Camelot Specialty Limos went beyond the call of duty. He had his best driver, Rafal, take us out that night, and he was the best.
If any of you ladies are using Camelot, please ask for Rafal, and tell Joe Sabrina said hello.
Once again, thank you EVERYONE AT LIW for the wonderful weekend getaway, we really needed it.
