Ok, so my sister & 2 nieces live in florida and I have 2 other bridesmaids here in NY. The bridal shop in florida advised me that its best to order from the same place at the same time so the color is exact. Is this a myth or should I do that??? Will it be ok with order from 2 separate places???
We are all ordering from Davids Bridal. I asked about that but they said it shouldn't be a problem
i was told the same thing so i'm waiting until my 2 out of staters are in town for thanksgiving to order (they're away at school)
Its true. The colors are never the same. My MOH is getting measured in FL and then I am going to order her dress for her when my girls order theirs.
It is absolutely true!!! My sister and my friend ordered the same designer and color for their BM dresses. When I put the two of them next to each other there was a huge difference. I couldn't even believe it. Definitely order from the same place and the same time. They have to be from the same dye lot.
My MOH is out of state. She came up for a weekend and we went dress shopping with my other two BMs, they found a dress and ordered it. She'll have to come up another weekend when the dresses come in so it can be tailored, but that won't happen for a while. I would definitely make sure they order from the same batch.
This was a concern for me, too. My FSIL lives in Hawaii. David's Bridal started advertising a new color match system that supposedly assures the same color no matter where the dresses are ordered. I'm hoping they're accurate, since that's where we found our favorite dress!
