Ok, so my sister & 2 nieces live in florida and I have 2 other bridesmaids here in NY. The bridal shop in florida advised me that its best to order from the same place at the same time so the color is exact. Is this a myth or should I do that??? Will it be ok with order from 2 separate places???
I've always heard you have to order from the same place/time to ensure the match. You could alsways have them get measured in FL and call it into the NY place to order and then ship to them? I have a BM in Seattle and I think that is what we are doing. She'll get her alterations out by her, but order here.
I've heard that too and I think it is true. I have OOT BMs too and i'm just ordering from one place and mailing the dresses to the girls who live OOT.

I heard that too. One of my BM's lives in California, so she will either send me her measurements and deposit and I will place her order for her, or when she comes out to NY to visit in December, I'll take her to order.
one of my bm's is in allentown, pa. I ordered her dress for her from the same place as my New York bm's.

It depends on how exact you want to be. If you're okay with a possible slight difference in color then it might be easier to have everyone order where they live. If you think the color differences might drive you crazy, then order from the same place.
i have 3 from out of state. have them get measured and call in their measurements. gl!

i heard this too. I was actually going to let them order from the same where they live or online if they wanted now I'm scared about the color being off.
this makes me nervous. I have the same problem.
I had an OOT BM and they said to order it from the same place because then it would be fromt he same dye lot. I let my BM order the dress in Boston.....the color was the exact same and I think the stores say this so they can get the entire sale. If there is a color variation it will probably be so slight no one would notice. I saw no difference in the dresses ordered here and the one from Boston.
I have OOT BM's and they are calling in there measurements and having them shipped to their home for tailoring. Sometimes the dye lots for the fabric can be off...u don't want that.

hey lisa..they told me the same thing..they put the order in for all bridesmaids at once so that each dress is cut from the same fabric..but fyi jennys was ordered at another time and hers matched exactly..the first dress she had im talking about
