Crashing - I had a BM from Cali. She got measured out there and I brought her measurements and a check and ordered her dress here so it came from the same dye lot. When it came in, I shipped it overnight to her to get altered. Everything worked great.
one of my bridesmaids is from michigan so i'm going through the same thing! i'm planning on having her try on the dress at a store near her house and get her measurements taken there, and then i'm going to order all of the bridesmaid dresses at the same from the same place.
2 of my BM live OOT. One came up to order her dress and the other went to davids bridal where she lives and got measured. She called in her measurements and paid over the phone with a card. When the dress comes in i will pick it up and mail it to her and she can get it altered near her. Its best if its ordered in the same place because of the dye lot like the other girls said but also because they may get a better deal on the price if all of the girls all order their dress from the same place
One of my bridesmaids is in FL and im having her order the dress at a stpre by her.

my friend ordered my dress (the wedding was in Massachusetts) and shipped it to me via UPS, that way all the dress colors were the same (since we had heard that sometimes when you order BM dresses separately, the shades of color might be different had you ordered them together). I have one BM who lives in FL and I will most likely order her dress here and ship it to her to get altered.

same problem here. Im doing black dresses so im hoping that the dye wont be as big of a deal. I think its best that she goes to a place near her that way she can have alterations done, but then again if I hold her dress hostage, shes forced to come visit me before the wedding haha.
